The silhouette of the hair also points to night elf, that’s one of their hair styles (either the one thats all down with really long in the back, or that one that is down bangs/sides but has a little pony tail?).
Anyway I agree, it does look night elf.
its possible thats a tall collar/shoulder that curls over on the edge, though elf ear or even horn is possible. i think i see a hood. can see one arm and its pretty hefty but not roided. so it maybe a non human male or even a large female elf like sylvannas. its wearing an armor chest thats designed with thin horizontal rows of…not sure. appears to be wearing a thick belt. sometimes i think i see a beard, sometimes not. sometimes i see a fu manchu, which is a nozdornu signature, other than panda npcs

Too short to be a night elf’s ears, and the blood elf comparison picture doesn’t have the head facing the same angle as the silhouette, whom is clearly looking at Iridikron, rather than to the side of him.
Xal’atath still makes the most sense to be there. That’s where I’d put my money, if I were a betting man. If its not Xal’atath, oh well. Not sure what Night Elf would be out there.
