These nerfs make 0 sense while feral dots are ticking for 300-400k and getting ferocious bite for 1.5 million.
They must just look at overall numbers are nerf the damage. Dot classes will always do more damage than others as they are designed for aoe pressure.
Shouldve just nerfed death coil and leave the dots alone. They do tickle damage.

Anecdotal drivel like this isn’t going to help your cause.
A lot of devs do play the game but I get your frustration. The heavy nerfs (specifically to death coil) frustrate me too.
I think class balance currently comes from a business standpoint. Below average players complained about Death Knights and Blizzard pandered them because they make up most of the player base in blitz.

They didn’t need a nerf period.
I find situations like this very frustrating because they balance different specs for different ratings. Unholy gets balanced for the bottom sub rogue for the top, both specs have one thing in common though. They are not balanced for the people that play them they are balanced for the people that play against them.

if they play,they are stuck in the 1400-1600 bracket. They dont play the game man,they tune the number according to data,they tell us that. They look at numbers basically and try to make them even. PVP isnt PVE.
Its definetly from a marketing point…Think about how much their revenue goes up from microtransactions once they do buffing tuning… Thousands of people probably buy a boost etc to play the new meta class. I bet you everytime they make these changes they make millions.

It was because unholy doesn’t need 4 set, and even two set has crit hands so some avoid pieces and then we don’t get the crit trinket either so MANY unholy players were already hitting max DMG 2 weeks prior to others due to terrible gearing stats. This led to a lot of crying from others and people overplaying unholy.
The effect was blizz nerfed unholy into the ground… Before gearing was stabilised and equal. It was a low IQ change. Other classes diddnt even have max vers yet.
Now the dust has settled. Dk DMG has not increased with another 2 weeks of gearing. Due to verse it’s now LOWER aswell lol. I’m hopeful for then relooking at this.

No, they don’t, they design by spreadsheet, graph, and metric. If you’re having fun, you’re playing the game wrong and if Blizzard sees that you are having fun, they’ll make sure to tune the game until you’re not.

People now have more versatility to mitigate incoming damage, while UHDK’s outgoing damage has not meaningfully increased. Put another way, the spec hit its gear wall early and got nerfed into oblivion for it.
Frost was of course dead in the water from the start so far as PvP is concerned. Yet, because of the changes to UHDK, it’s actually managed to net higher representation at all levels of PvP.
