Yep. I won’t ever claim to be the best player in the world, and I’m definitely not as proficient at the game as I was, say, 15 years ago. But this is definitely more of a scaling and balance issue. Delves at their core aren’t necessarily hard. They are pretty straight forward. Right now, the hard part is surviving what could be considered normal spell casts and melee hits which hit like 16 wheelers so that you can survive real mechanics which may or may not one shot you depending on the tier. That isn’t fun or engaging. That is annoying and physically/mentally draining for no good reason.

There is a plethora of consumables in various shops throughout the world that actually help with damage mitigation, one reduces shadow damage by 25% which is where most of the damage is coming from. Except for the melee hits where the majority of melee spikes come from seems to be nature damage. If you pay attention to the npcs your fighting you will see these big hits more often not come from enemies that have a chance to inflict additional nature damage on hit. Something you can do to help yourself here is learn priority kill targets, and establish a working kill order. Know when your going to need to use your cooldown, and be willing to take your time from pack to pack when you need to. This isn’t timed content like mythic+ so the progression is different the fail condition is death, so your job is to not beat the clock but rather simply don’t die. The games job is to try to kill you. Use all your tools, and you will be fine especially if your a death knight. I’ve been fine and been farming tier 8s, and still can. I was doing it at Ilevel 570.

if mythic+ is tuned so that every spec can do a 10 then this at the bare minimum should be to. anything less is just showing that the value of this was to get some quick gear before season 1 really started. it was sold as for casuals but as we all see it was just filler for before season 1 starts. once tuesday hits far less people will be doing delves when keys are finally a option.

I was speaking to the death knight, I can’t really speak to priests experience don’t play one. Nor do I know exactly what your dying to. But if there is an issue Blizzard will likely address it eventually provided its an issue with the game and not the end user.

how exactly will the spell doing 20-25 million points of damage change for me in coming weeks? Will attacks stop going through walls next week?

The issue is they simply need to drop overall damage and hp in the higher delve tiers by at least 30%.

I think 30% is pretty cozy and will allow squishier classes such as myself. To do them without pulling hair out.

Gonna die on this hill but NOTHING in those delves should be doing MILLIONS of damage in a few seconds. No one even has that much hp. The most ive seen people have at 600ilvl is like 4.5 million and slightly more as a tank

The official recommended ilvl for Tier 8 is only 600, as listed on the entry screen for the delve.
This is attainable with mythic 0s and some upgrades.

This will not give you enough HP or vers to survive powerful melee attacks and spell casts that hit for over 4mil, most of which cannot be interrupted 100% of the time due to cooldowns.
In fact, many of the rares are still broken since even before the change, like the mushroom whose dot ticks for 3-4mil depending on your party size.

Yeah. Even after the “fixes”, my hunter was still taking roughly 500k-1 mil PER auto attack and spell, and there were many. He’s only got 4.25 mil or something. Luckily Brann seems to be more on top of things, otherwise I’d have probably died more than the one time I did.

No, they just do too much damage. I could have a permanent 30% damage reduction and they would still hit too hard.

Its a fear factor now

Watching a mage go from 100 to 0 off of like 2 web bolts.

The tank going from 100 to 50 from a scarab tremor.

Ive had mythic raids from dragonflight have less stress inducing pain than this

It’d be one thing if they targeted just pets and tanks like one would normally expect when they are holding aggro, but spells are being vomited everywhere at everyone. Having my pets almost feels pointless.

Yeah, and some of us dont heroic raid for a reason buddy, and thats because we dont want a heroic raid level challenge and if delves are just supposed to be for people looking for that sorta challenge then heck it, I got better stuff to do with my week like play street fighter 6.

NPC threat does not even work properly in these anyway, you can let bran do over half of a mobs health and then go hit it a few times and it will swap to you.
