It's been very telling that the community has no interest in the "power system" of 10.0

I thought people would be more interested in 10.0 and what we know about it than… what I see around here.

Do you want another expansion of convocation of the spirits as your end game ability that defines your spec?

Do you want something beyond that? Or do you want to obsess about things you don’t even know exist yet?

Talent trees 2.0 exist. Do you want your BiS covenant to be the end of that tree to work towards and just return to Shadowlands or do you want something beyond that?

Wut?

Well, to be fair, convoke is in the balance talent tree. You can see it down at the bottom in a screenshot.

I like the direction of design they’re going in and think that more folks will come around to it once we have more information.

Do you want to reach the end of your new talent tree in dragonflight and just choose your covenant ability again, or do you want something beyond that?

I want my toon to bring the newly found power from 10.0 with him into 11.0 - whatever that may be.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with the covenant abilities so putting them in the tree is fine.

Going beyond that? Not sure what you are trying to say here. Go beyond, how?

YES.
Something NEW we can bring to the next expansion. I don’t just want our covenant abilities waiting for us at the end of the tree.

If its not in alpha even yet I dunna think things will look the same later.
They could just give everyone a bag in the mail and you open it and get random abilites across all classes/specs. A range smorgasbord of joy and misery.

But, the Covenant abilities are the new thing that might be coming over with us to the next expansion lol.

Covenant/legendary powers/etc in the talent tree is great.

I do not want 10.0 to climax with us selecting our BiS covenant ability on the new talent trees.

No, they are not new, not at all. That is not moving forward. That’s not improving. That’s stagnating.

They stated in some interviews that there would be a mixture of old abilities that are returning, conduits, tier sets, legendaries, covenant abilities, et cetera as well as completely new abilities that have never been seen before.

Which sounds pretty good to me. We have had some cool stuff over the years so adding that stuff back in addition to some new stuff is basically ideal I think.

And what exactly did you want? We haven’t even seen hardly anything about these things yet. Also, whatever they might show will eventually change during Alpha.

Wut? Yes they are lol.

look gnome… not everyone rushes to the forums to give praise about something- hence why most posts are negative.

I like this a lot and I agree.

But should the Shadowlands Covenant ability (convoke the easy one to point out) really be at the bottom of the tree?

I’m hoping that if we don’t ask it won’t exist

I’m literally saying they are baking that in as your endgame big upgrade unlock in Dragonflight. That’s like 4-6 years of convoke as your big upgrade.

I think that it is certainly powerful enough to be down there. Especially if it is paired with another capstone ability to give you a choice… well, until the sims come out.

Anyway, I am cautiously optimistic about the system. They’re saying all of the right things. We just have to see if they will deliver.

I’d play that. but it’d have to be a slightly more limited event.

you’re basically describing WoW equivalent of ARAM. (all random all mid).

I don’t care about player power, I Play world content.

I do my builds based on RP, since wotlk. So I don’t really care.

thats great but what about the MM ?
