It's been 17 hours, yet still can't play Dragonflight

It’s amazing how Blizzard prepares for weeks for new expansion launches, and still cannot maintain a stable connection with it’s clients. It’s upsetting to me, as I’m sure for everyone else who plays on a high populated realm. I understand, High Pop, you get these problems, but why? Why is it that because multitudes of people play on my server, I deserve to be robbed of an entire day of play? Friends of mine are passing me way up and I am sitting here having to create a new character on another realm just to play the game. It’s upsetting, and I believe that every player affected by this same scenario deserves some kind of compensation.

Also, feel free to take this as whining, because it is. A little. But if no one says anything, then they won’t know how upset we really are. Thank you, and I hope most of you agree.

It’s been 17 hours. Not a whole day. If you’re going to complain at least be accurate.

OH man, thanks, you’ve wholesomely added to the community and made my post ACCURATE because it’s extremely important, not the actual problem at hand. Please, keep contributing to the community the way you do, I’m sure it will help everyone.

I am glad to have helped! All kidding aside, I am on Area-52 and couldn’t play for the first 10 hours DF came out. Our server imploded and you couldnt switch realms to play alts on smaller servers. We had no feedback from Blizzard so I feel your pain. However complaining about it here isn’t going to change a thing. Cheers.

Is this a race? Are raids even open, I’m not even sure. I know M+ isn’t starting for a couple weeks either. Point is, you have time.

i haven’t logged in today but yesterday was like that for me on tich. logged on 1 hour before launch, launch came boat pretty much got bugged for a bunch of us, then stuck in a never ending loop of loading screens that kept kicking me us. couldn’t even port to org via portals or mage tp. had a bunch of people scamming for gold to tell portals/warlock tp’s.

then when i did finally get through after about 1.5 hours of that bs i had bad lag; NOT on my end. lag lasted idk 2 hours it was pretty bad i couldn’t even loot/turn quests in. for others there was no lag or anything at all

17 hours to a gamer is like 4 days to a casual

i agree that it’s silly to expect smooth sailing if you want to play on a mega-server on launch day.

I wonder how many on high population serves would take a free server transfer to a lower population one? I am betting not many, as most would be unwilling to leave friends or guilds to do so.

Second day of Dragonflight, after their first maintenance period, on a low population realm (Uther), and the game is completely unplayable. Crippling lag, crashes every few minutes, etc. I’ve been playing since Vanilla and I have never seen a launch without issues. However, this is incredibly disappointing, especially given how much prep work clearly went into the marketing of the new release.
