Just did 1 game with a mage/rogue against dk/priest/dk.

1 game.

dk does 368k damage and puts up 188k necrotic on me.
dh does 325k damage.
priest does 140k damage

the rogue? 187k
the mage??? 89k damage

I drop strong barrier on apocalypse and follow up with pain sup. I heal 478k & 251k was absorbed.

I die.

Mage casts 1 sheep. 1.

Their response. “tf…”

Kicked.

Mage whisper after.

“u shielded urself against just a dk… u painsupped nothin”
“nvm”
“u don’t know how to play”
“pcenerd”

I… dunno even know what to say. Guy casts 1 sheep and does 89k damage and I don’t know how to play. 1 sheep.

I feel you, healing arenas is aids enough as is with all of the insane pressure, but then your partners just rage at you for stuff that’s ALWAYS your fault.

Yea. I’m pretty used to it by now, but over the last couple weeks I’m just floored at the responses I get. It’s one thing to kick someone, but then another to call the person bad. I mean, they both did nothing to peel the dk and and the dh was riding the rogue/mage. I STILL had to heal them while the priest and the dk were going ham on me.

Their response of… well it was just the dk on you… what’s the problem? Completely ignoring the priest on me who was purging forcing to hard cast heals.

It’s like, they did 800k of damage and put up 188k necrotic to your 270k. Of course I’m going to flop if I don’t get any peels. Ugg.

Typical RMP brain Mage. Probably got high riding the ridiculousness it was in 8.0 and thinks he’s actually good.

It’s actually hard to peel dk teams as rmp because priests are so squishy right now.

Dks literally rip them apart. The only thing as a disc that you can really do against them is try to position yourself in the back, and do your best to fake kicks.

Sorry there is no good way to say this, it sucks that dk does so well against disc. Not saying that you couldn’t have done better to survive, we can all do better every match. But the only way u will live that match up is if the mage and rogue peel furiously and put pressure them to be on the back foot. This forces them on the mage to stop pressure.

Sorry I can’t really give any other tips for this. Just really hard. What I’ve been tending to do is every time they stun my priest I throw a kidney onto the kill target so they only get half the pressure on their go while we put our our pressure. Gl in the future bud. It’s not just u but ur whole teams job to make sure u live

I know they are hard to peel. but one sheep is one sheep. If the priest and the dk were on me and dh was on the rogue/mage, mage should have had plenty of opportunities to hard cast. Even if they all got instantly trinketed, it still gives me a second of breathing room.

Big issue in this case is they let the dk/priest run right to me without a sap or sheep or even an opener. And beyond that, they had 0 pressure. So even if it was just the priest and dk with me, they should have been wrecking the dh. But, they didn’t.

Not looking for any tips, though I appreciate it! Was just letting off some steam.

I wasn’t defending them, really the opposite. Most of the blame, at least from your story, should be on them. I was just trying to point out that you are a team and to remember to accept some of the blame, no matter how poorly they did peel lol

Thanks, I’ll keep looking. Played with randoms after that and went back up another 150 rating. Now to push for 2.2-2.4. Just a pain doing it pugs.

The way you talk to others, I can almost guarantee you’re lying. People just wanting to agree and talk with you. “I’m not looking for advice” like okay bro. You lost one game, and you act like this. Lol. Would love that mage to come tell us what really happened.

I don’t have a screenshot of what the mage said, but I typed that up right after the match. That is verbatim what he whispered me and put me on ignore before I could even respond.

And what exactly am I acting like? There was a thread a couple days ago in the same vein. I thought this was funny in relation to that, so I decided to post it while venting a bit. This is supposed to be pretty light hearted. That’s… more or less why I’m saying I don’t need advice HERE. I’m just trying to be polite to some of the other thoughtful posters. This isn’t supposed to be serious.
