Saw more images of different colors for the class mogs coming to the Yraders Post, and it would only look appropriate on Tauren or maybe Troll. Even the color variations are Tauren theme.
After the they made a cash shop transmog set that matches the Mage class staff. I am confident that they have a cash shop mog that looks far better for the Hunter class weapon.

I disagree.
I think it screams Hunter.
It’s just that there are multiple interpretations of what Hunter is. Which is… Normal? Expected? Unavoidable?
What would be a Hunter mog that fits all races indiscriminately?
Take your set. Eye patch, chain-mail, traditional metallic & leather color scheme.
It’s way more fitting to Humans and Dwarfs as it would be Trolls or Night Elf.

Literally this. Nobody understands this. Yes, the December set looks very “Tauren” but like…
Look at the set people always clamor over, the Nighthold set. That has terrible Hunter fantasy for anything that’s not an elf

I make my mogs based on what that race would wear. Each of my six Hunters have mogs that wouldn’t fit on another race.
The colors, aesthetic, and style would look unusual for any race than Taurens. Walk through High Mountain or Tunder Bluff, and say that this set doesn’t capture Tauren design.
If Blizzard wanted to make a outfit for a race then that is fine. However, calling it a set for Hunters says they don’t know Hunters, or they assume that most Hunters are Taurens or High Mountain.
There are multiple examples of Hunter designs that Blizzard could look through. It just takes a Google search.
It certainly is ugly enough to meet the criteria of being a hunter mog.

Exactly. That is my entire point.
Races are so diverse, it’s hard to create a universal set for a class theme as generic as Hunter. The race is more prominent than the class.
What appeals to a Gnome simply would never appeal to an Orc.
Unlike say, Warlock, where the theme Warlock is so overpowering that it’s universal to any race.
Show me one single Hunter design that matches for every race in the game.
Yet, Blizzard has created a set that is designed around Taurens and call it a class set. It implies that this desing captures what it is to be a Hunter.
If you were to just see the silhouette of this set on any race could you tell it was a Hunter? That how you know if it works.
Fur, leather, hoods, skulls these are typical incorporated into Hunters outfits. Hunters are know to use what they hunter to survive, this also add to their equipment. Also a long trench coat would be nice addition.
Maybe the outfit that Huntmaster Petrus wears would be nice to have available. It would fit with more races than just two.

Sure, for you, but this outfit has very little to do with the average racial fantasy of Tauren, Highmountain, Goblin, Troll, Zandalari, Gnome, Draenei, Lightforged…
I not talking about class fantasy for the Petrus set. I thinking it would look nice on more races than a set designed for Taurens.
Yes, that’s literally what I’m trying to tell you. The Petrus set would look good on more races, but it wouldn’t look good on all Hunter races. It is impossible to get a set to look good on all races that fits every fantasy.
My stance is that the Art team behind these class sets should have captured the theme of Hunters. There nothing wrong if it doesn’t look great on ever race, but it should look like something a Hunter would be wearing.
They do this magic with every raid tier. Hunters take trophies, so they would take their armor from the enemies they killed. The challenge sets they made in MoP were class sets. They were designed to look we knew our class.
If Blizzard had just advertised they made a mog set with Tauren as the main theme then it that fine, Tauren players get some new aesthetics. But, they showed it off next to all the other class sets, and thought it showed off the class. Showed they lacked creativity and didn’t understand hunters.
My thoughts are they will release a in-game shop transmog at the same time that looks far better, which is were the designers put all their effort into.

They did capture the theme of Hunters. It’s just a theme that you don’t like for your Hunter. A lot of Hunters will use the animal trophy / nature motiff themes over a more subdued “furs and hood” or “military ranger” theme.
It does.
They captured the themes of a Tauren. It would not look appropriate for any other race. It is a Tauren Hunter set that what it is.
Same as the other class sets. They have a heavy influence from a race than a class.

I don’t think you’re reading what I am saying at all. A more military or subuded set like you are asking for, wouldn’t fit other Hunter as well. It is impossible to hit every Hunter fantasy. Much like you don’t like our December set, other people wouldn’t like the set you’re asking for, for their Hunter.
Am I not communicating well or what aren’t you understanding.
The argument is Blizzard can’t create a set that captures all Hunters cause they’re so many different influences of what that should look like.
I just do not think this set says anything than we made this for Taurens.
I was asking for something like this cause I liked the way it looks. I am not saying it screams Hunter.
I just want more sets that don’t try to invoke the Windrunners (which doesn’t fit an Orc tbh), and looks natural, like a real hunter would wear. Imo, hunters shouldn’t look like a giant glow worm, all thier flashy gear scaring away the game…
A set that is influenced by the Frostwolf would look really great. They look like Hunters in their gear.

Yes. But other colors too… my favorite color is red, but I feel more drawn to the Frostwolf clan than Warsong.
