Rogues get imp EA which reduces armor by 1575 but its a DPS loss for the raid if they spec into it.
Priests have an instant cast 1550 sunder which they should be using. If you are a priest running anything other than homonc you are hindering your raid.
If you argue that you need POM over homonc you are a bad teammate.
the argument that “they die instantly” is moot. just recast on CD, very basic.
Raid leaders stop telling your priests otherwise.

We don’t have rogues and our priest runs Pom, so you know my as is spamming sunders at the start of every pull 
DPS loss for the raid, your priest is bad.
It depends on two things:
The cooldown is 2 minutes. If you’re in a fight where they’re going to die instantly, it’s a waste of a rune slot, because you can’t simply “recast on cooldown”. The cooldown won’t be up by the time the boss is dead.
PoM helps save bad players who can’t avoid mechanics. If your Priest says they need PoM, chances are your group is full of bad players who can’t avoid standing in fire. Get better.

I know. It takes me at least 5x as long for the same result. We tend to have 4 physical dps and a physical tank, so it’s definitely worth getting sunders up asap.

It’s an even bigger DPS loss if Homonculus die and no one’s putting up sunder or EA. If they’re going to die to cleave or ground poison, they’re definitely not worth using. Especially in fights where there’s a ton of AoE damage on the raid.

Yeah. Those are quality players who avoid mechanics. They don’t require PoM because they don’t take boatloads of unnecessary damage like you do.
Savage but accurate. If I’m in a PuG with a bunch of randos, it’s PoM all day. If I’m in a solid group on Discord who knows the fights and can press their keys I’m happy to run Homonculis.
What boss do they avoid mechanics on?
In BFD:
Cant avoid barons mechanics
Cant avoid ghama mechanics
FAP on sev = avoiding mechanics? idk about that
Murloc has 3 phases you cant avoid, and murlocs you cant prevent from spawning
Kelris shadow prot + FAP was common for almost every single raid.
Akumai mechanics didnt get avoided because the add spawns provided more DPS for warriors.
in gnomer you arent avoiding any mechanics either.
First boss is cake easy
second boss you are supposed to kill elementals before they reach the bracers on the ground
Electro you have to rotate the furthest 3 players
Crowd pummeler knocks people off who are in frnt of boss
Menagerie has nothing to avoid other than reflect and fire breath (???)
And thermoplug has 4 phases you cant ignore

however im not sundering as it is a personal DPS loss.
If my raid wants me to sunder over homonc (which will never happen because we have a higher than 50 IQ) it means they dont care about parsing in the first place.

Nah fam, leave melee on the bench. You only need homunculus for last 2 bosses but really melee should just stay home. Melee can’t do the electrocutioner mechanic, they suck at bomb squad. Also, why settle when you can just run 2 priests , get pom and homunculus. But again , rogues bring nothing to the raid and you should really just not be there.
