Cross faction too please. We need Hot mics and we also need proximity chat. If people cant handle it just turn it off by default. Proximity chat makes all online games far better.

I still play new world and hot mic is still a thing. The great thing about being older than 9 years old is i know how to put people on ignore and report them. The world is scary i know, but hot mic would make this game better.

In other games with open mic chat, first thing I do is disable it. I don’t need to hear some 13 year old screaming about how everyone is trash.

Nope. Seen it in that Smile Game studios game “New World”. And it was only used as a tool to troll or offend others.
Imo, it cheapens the experience.
Nobody is using the in game voice chat, what makes you think they would use the proximity one?
Imagine flying down to gank a low lvl and playing the John cena intro as you smack that low lvl.
Or
Being in cat sneaking up on someone and playing the pink panther song before you pounce.
