What if I wasn’t going to buy the expansion?
Now in order to do things I could a week ago, I have to pay for an expansion that in my opinion, won’t be worth the money for another 2-3 patches?
And no, not every expac was like this. Several of them you got MORE powerful in the prepatch, not less.
Hoping they balance level 50 with patches a bit better in the coming weeks so I don’t feel obligated to buy the expac so I can do the same content I was doing before the prepatch.
I’m fine with being locked out of new content if I don’t get the expansion. Limiting old content if I don’t upgrade is… extremely scummy practice imo.

That’s kinda how Blizzard rolls these days though, it’ll be fixed when you hit level cap, your class will feel better when you get some decent gear, you’ll feel better when you’re knee deep in the new borrowed power systems, just wait until the next patch blah blah blah. It feels like that sweet window where everything just feels good/fun is getting more and more narrow as the years go on.

Why do you feel I should be forced to buy it if I want to do what I was already doing?

I was worried that when i lost my 6400vers that I would be significantly less powerful.
Did a 20key yesterday, while feeling out of sorts, I was able to complete the key without major issues.

well what if you do buy the expansion. you dont want to be left out from all your friends playing the expansion do you? whatever you do remember not to stand on the fence forever
I agree that it’s definitely a mixed bag. However I am enjoying some of the fun pre-SL builds that work nicely.
For example VoP bear is now a thing because of the buff to incarnation and the return of Beserk. My monk gets Xuen baseline but is still able to get very nice value from triple fists.
I love when people say things like this. Acting like they don’t plan on buying the expansion. So you are are just going to sit doing up to BfA content for the next years? Yeahhhhh I highly doubt it.

I think you are projecting your personal lack of self control.
I’m more than content to mess around with classic and or TBC until they fix shadowlands. And that was my plan prior to this anyways. I can’t stand the current expansion until flying.
I tried playing BFA before they put flying in and it was easily the most frustrated I have ever been with the game. 10 months of having all the requirements done, waiting for them to get around to putting in part 2. No thanks to doing that again.
