Items value?

Hey need help looking up a value of a drop I got. What does everyone use? I was lucky and I got a river pride choker but can only find one site that prices it at 1500-1800 gold?! That can’t be right, is it? I just need some help finding a reputable site to look this stuff up

Thanks!

This is what I do:

Type the name of the item into Google and type “WoW Classic” after it.
Usually, Wowhead Classic will be the site at the top of the list, so click that.
Scroll down, click Comments, and from there you can see what people were selling them for back in Vanilla.

Works for me every time

the price will be what someone is willing to pay…I seriously doubt that at this point there is any kind of average price etc… very few people have any money… on my server I see people selling in trade epics that used to go for 1k+ … they spam the entire night trying to get 50 gold and still are unable to sell the item.

IIWU… I would throw it in the bank until more people have leveled and ground out gold… GL

I think youd have to hold it to get highest price. In ebay if i don’t know how to price something i just put a huge number and allow offers. Same thing here, just say 1500 Obo in trade.

what people paid “in vanilla” is only relevant if it was in the beginning. there is not that much gold in the economy yet to support people dropping 2k gold on an item on a lot of servers.

If i won something of value i would hold it for months until people start to build up disposable income. People will spend way more later

Per Booty Bay Gazette, and on Pagle Alliance, the current selling price is 4g.

There’s no possible way that item sold for anywhere near 1500G during vanilla. Most likely people were paying high prices for xp locked twinks.

I would bank it until the twink community gets going.

Cause it’s current retail “market” price for it =)

Of course. I never said to list it straight away. I know people are leveling, professions have been relatively neglected until 60, and gold possession is minimal right now.
However in a few months, the economy will pick up, trade will be booming, and the items will begin to increase in value.

That price is probably what you would see in retail. I doubt any Classic servers are going to have people willing to pay that much for it.

Value never changes unless supply or demand changes. Pricing will change relative to inflation but that has nothing to do with value. Take into consideration the supply and demand of an item at this point in the game and you can generally gauge value. Then price accordingly

The inflation rate of the market is insane right now (lots of new currency being created ingame relative to the total amount of gold all players have) , and prices will be very different server to server and even between horde or alliance on the same server. This is way too hard of a question to answer accurately at this point in the game
