All of the sudden items were not showing if I had collected or hadn’t collected them for transmog. I found a console command that make it so it shows if I hadn’t collected them again but the tool tip show I have collected them is not showing still. Any idea of what caused this or how I can fix it? Thanks!

There’s a bunch of collection related cvars but they all seem to just relate to the filter settings in the wardrobe and transmogrifier.
Ya that didn’t fix it. The command I used to get it to show if they aren’t collected was /console missingTransmogSourceInItemTooltip 1
Pretty sure the default UI only shows not collected. Maybe you were getting collected from Altoholic or some other addon?
I want to say it’s betterwardrobe maybe but I have disabled it and it made no difference. This just started yesterday on me, at least that is when I noticed.
A bunch of container/tooltip stuff got changed in the 10.0.2 patch this week so that might have busted the addon.
The only stuff I see Collected on with the default UI is battle pets.
I mean it’s showing I haven’t collected them again, that command seem to fix it but I tested it and set the value back to zero and it still shows. So weird.
Yeah, I have missingTransmogSourceInItemTooltip set to 0, which is the default.
Changing it to 1 is to show if you haven’t gotten the transmog from that exact item (think tier sets and their non-tier but visually identical pieces)
Ya I was just reading that, weird this is that triggered it to show the “haven’t collected” text again when I changed it to 1. I changed it back to 0 now though.
is that item soulbound? it not then it might be an alternative source for an appearance you already have.
ie you have learnt the appearance, just not from that particular item.
an appearance can be learnt from multiple sources so depending on how ocd you are you can change the tooltip to show either
- 0 - have i learnt the appearance from any source at all?
- 1- have i learnt the appearance from this particular source (item).
theres probably two more options to show if an alt has learnt it, and if an alt has learnt it from that particular item (at lease those are available at the API level)
So I am not sure what changed, but up until 2 days ago BoE items would show collected or not collected in the tooltips for me. Suddenly they showed nothing. Now after some tinkering they show they haven’t been collected again, but BoE’s still don’t say they have been collected.
BoEs should only show for classes that can equip them.
Huh I must have had an addon that showed it then, because it would show me everything even if I couldn’t equip them. Not sure what happened though I haven’t changed any addon settings.
