Item restoration upon accidentally equipping the wrong Tier Piece

"Hello Almighty GM of Azeroth,

I am humbly requesting your assistance on a trivial matter for you, but a larger matter for me.

Recently, I ran a BWL with my guild and got the Tier 2 Primeval Gloves token. However, I’m just returning to SoD and I didn’t realize there was a different colored tanking set for Tier 2 armor now. In my excitement, I accidentally bought the wrong piece of Tier 2… :frowning: I only realized something was wrong after I equipped the gloves and realized the gloves were gray and not the iconic red that Bloodfang usually is… I’m a DPS rogue and this is a large setback for me due to how much I work…

Please, please, Mr/Mrs. GM, can you please restore my primeval gloves token to my bags so that I may get the proper piece of Tier 2 Bloodfang? I can unequip my gloves and leave them in my bag so you can swap the token for the gloves… Will you please grant me this Winter Veil miracle? "

I sent this ticket in hoping again for the best but expecting the worst. It’s always the worst, and I’m still here… Blizzard really sucks… There’s no reason why they shouldn’t be able to help me with this. Why do GMs or the support system even exist when if the problem goes just slightly beyond the scope of the Item Restoration feature, there’s nothing that can be done…?

Like, seriously did the Blizzard Customer Service Department get so freaked out by the Martin Thunder incident in WotLK that they really shut the doors on their entire player base in terms of actually having a GM help a player at all? GUYS, IT’S BEEN 15 YEARS! I’M SURE YOU GUYS WON’T DO THAT AGAIN. STOP PUNIHING US FOR A GMs MISTAKE! Like, at this point why even employ GMs when all the GMs do is just regurgitate their company policy and direct you to an automated service?

This is like one of those questions you ask a telephone service and that telephone service tries to answer your question, but it never does, so you have to ask to speak to an operator. Then when the actual person shows up, they always are able to help get things done quickly and succinctly… Except when you need to talk to a GM in WoW I guess.

Yo, Blizzard. How about a little leniency with the GMs abilities to help an actual player in the game where the helper(GM) a literal “master” in it? Or if that’s to much to ask, How about extending the 2 hour time on Tier Tokens to include after they have been equipped? It’s way to easy to purchase the wrong piece of gear with no safety net. Maybe put the tanking sets into a different vendor altogether?

I know this is a hard one but, put yourself in your playerbases shoes when we have a problem like this. Imagine being someone in your playerbase that asks for a very simple fix such as I did only to be told there’s essentially nothing that can be done unless there’s rules changed…
