What kinda thing is it that makes Fear instant cast for warlocks.
No I am not talking about coil or any other thing, just the actual “FEAR” spell, specifically fear.

Howl is instant, as is Deathcoil. Fear is always a hard cast.
There isn’t one that applies full fear. There is a set bonus on Dreadmist and Deathmist that gives a chance to fear people when they hit you. Otherwise, deathcoil is the only instant cast fear, it is also short though. Howl of Terror doesn’t have instant cast until TBC and that’s a talent.
4 Piece for Deathmist, 6 Piece for Dreadmist. It actually has a fairly decent proc rate, but it’s not a full duration fear, only 2 seconds.

the only item i can think of that makes anything insta cast cant be be used by locks anyway, the epic world drop hammer.
but yeah what dot said is the only things i can think of off the top of my head either.

Except that is not what happened, coil and howl have different debuffs.
Ok, maybe the debuff is the same?
I’ll see if I can find a lock on with it and try it out.
