Timegate is a buzzword boogieman word with negative connotations (like scaling and systems) used to try to assert ones point is better.
The downside is the more it is used, the more it starts to come across as âthe boy who cried wolfâ or complain jus to complain.

Yeah, this is the sort of things that ruin the game. Could someone possibly just run stuff over and over to max out their gear? But the people doing that do it because they enjoy playing the game. They are the same people who would say, âOk, this toon is geared time to play my altâ. This is the exact reason I no longer play alts.
Yeah itâs why these days I try to ignore peoplesâ words and focus more on the spirit/intent of their message.
In this case people are just lashing out against oppressive designs put in place by blizz to keep all of us ducks in a tight distribution. Or at least how I see it.
I think itâs safe to assume that they contracted out the puzzles.
You can make whatever assumptions you want. But the idea that this is a normal expansion with a typical release schedule is something you arenât going to convince anybody of. They appear to be falling further behind as time passes.
Clearly theyâre still blaming paying customers for their failures.

And the alternative is Need v Greed? Master loot in every dungeon, even random ones?
Or they go back to Personal Loot being un-tradeable which no one liked.
The current system is just Need/Greed with rolls done in the background but no player control.

Yeah I feel the same with alcohol. They sell these bottles in fifths which, after years of drinking have failed to satisfy my addiction. Yet for some reason alcohol companies think my playstyle of drinking a metric crapton of fireball every day isnât worth making drums of it available to the public. smh fireball is literally just making me buy fifths all the time instead of more economic 20 gal drums.
Just remove all time gating. If players max out everything week 1 and then complain there is nothing to do because they blazed through the content then that should be on them.

Despite the fact that you seem to feel that wow has an enormous number of players in a giant genre, the fact is that MMOâs make up only a tiny part of videogaming. Their potential audience is small. They make up for this by encouraging players to invest in their characters because of addictive gameplay that makes them want to log in every day because they feel like every play session results in character progress. People get addicted to that feeling. Failing to provide repeatable content that people enjoy doing results in them going off and finding some other game to play.
The number of hardcores is small. There arenât enough hardcores to keep a game like wow profitable. You wannabes just arenât important enough.
Blizzard has lost its way. People never used to complain about time-gating like this patch, which makes it blatantly obvious how little blizzard respects their customers or cares about retaining them. They are blaming currently paying customers for every failure they and only they are responsible for.
Pat yourself on the head and brag about how calling people who disagree with you âmoronsâ isnât really calling the overwhelming majority of players retarded.
