when clicking on my bag clean up it keeps saying item is locked and it wont sort, I use no bag addons
Same. I’m now having this problem today on a Horde toon.
Open your bags and click on the bag icon in the corner. There’s an option to ignore the bag during the cleanup. Try seeing if that’s checked.

I’m having a similar issue with my bank when I right click to try to clean up or sort my bank I get an error message saying item is locked and I have done everything I can… and I have Googled and try to find solutions all to no avail… Help!

I just realized I was on the wrong character when I replied saying I’m having the same issue with my bank stating the item is locked when I try to right click to sort it and organize my bank… I 129f through it is a main character I play on
I had the same issue, somehow one of the items I thought I sold was still in my bag but gray, soon as I logged out and back in I was able to sort my bags.

If you logout and log back in it will work again.

I have had this happen to me a few times now, each time when I was in Mechagon. I’ve narrowed it down for me (i think) to be when I use Pascal-KIN6.
A /reload ui did the trick for me to unlock bag cleanup

I figured out that had a dungeon reward chest that was glitched in my bag. It wouldn’t let me open, click, or drag it and I think that was what was preventing me from cleaning my bags. I re-logged and it let me grab the chest, but if I tried to open it, it would glitch again and freeze. I re-logged one more time so I could grab the chest, dropped it out my my bag to delete it, and my bags suddenly let me clean them again.

Ok yes, even you’re quest items are locked in you’re bags . Blizzard if we can’t use them can we please vendor them.
