Not everyone has to be special or is special. The sooner you learn this the sooner things are just easier.
Warriors comp wise for keys tend to fit in the filler slots which is usually up to 2 dps spots, sometimes only 1 pending utility required to make a key go smoothly. So when people are making groups for M+ those filler slots may already be taken by others so you’re not going to get an invite to those groups because they lack utility they need for the key.
People also lack critical thinking skills in group creation so they tend to invite classes and specs with no synergy just because they’re what’s “meta” by Content Creator tier lists that aren’t worth the paint doc they were made in. Or they create groups based on their own failure so they bring 4x bres specs and 1x lust spec as a “just incase” when jumper cables are a thing that everyone has access to for a little gold.
For the most part stick to making your own groups, or making friends to group with by being a pleasant person to play with through both banter and having your head locked in for the key.
Now as to what Warriors could potentially get added to them to give them a little extra for keys? I’d be content with either a purge and or bloodlust, so it differentiates them from the other plate options which both bring a battle res while still giving a reason for bringing a warrior outside of a filler spot which may not be available.
Why are you applying real world logic to a video game? You’re pretty much saying we should be happy being sub-par because not everyone is special. Every class should be special and have a use without being a hindrance to their group.
So well said.
But Greìl, what if I base my self value on the numbers I can put out in Wow, how else am I supposed to feel happy IRL?
Because when you take things too seriously it kills the fun and spirit of the game.
But we’re not a hinderance for a group, we provide a damage boost for str/agi users, so we’re a solid pair up with Hunter and 2x melee dps groups.
We also provide a decent enough damage profile and can pull our own weight. Alongside having multiple stops to help cover downtime between kicks (Fear, Shockwave - further augmented by Colossus, Stormbolt - Further augmented by Thane).
Rallying cry is a solid utility when used correctly. It’ll save someone from a party death when you use it at the right times saving 15s or more on your key.
We are solidly self sufficient and are able to turtle damage that others cannot. The amount of times in a pug key that it’s just myself and the tank alive is mindblowing when things hit the fan.
Spell reflect immunes, nullifies and even does damage back to it’s target, in a world (of warcraft) where bolts are spammed endlessly by trash, where mechanics force people to play defensively we can ignore that by just a simple button press and every single tier there is a use for it.
I know you’re memeing, but if someone did feel this way I’d honestly advise start lifting weights, getting more sun and eating a proper diet of whole foods, avoiding processed garbage and seed oils (use lard/beef tallow/butter/olive oil instead for your cooking fat).
So glad I read the warrior forums today, I was eating grass touching lard and avoiding weights, thanks doctor Greil I feel better now.
It’s good advice, I’d also add walking daily if you’re job isn’t physical.
Stay healthy fellow Warrior’s!
