To not add a player Casino to undermine before the end of the expansion.
I thought the word was officially spelled “yuge” now.
I’d have to wonder if there is a legal reason for Blizz avoiding dev sponsored in game gambling…
If I had to guess it probably has to do with WoW gold being purchasable and redeemable for real money which would vary in legality from state to state…and potentially country to country
Of course, they could do it for some other kind of currency with no real money value
I mean yea, casino and gambling are not designed to make players a profit, odds of wining is in the favor of the casino, so that would make blizz money selling more tokens
There is. But there are ways to do it and get around such things. SWTOR successfully pulled it off.

Closest I’ve gotten is we use the third floor of Undermine in MG as a casino card and slot machine parlor. No real money of course, just the Black jack addon.
In Midnight I hope we get to raid Tazavesh and Undermine for all the furniture, I wanna make a Myza’s Oasis-esque Speakeasy for the guild public tavern with some roulette and card tables.
I love gambling
Well, the good news is we’ll be moving back to Undermine and the Diamond Lounge as soon as it’s open to folks as a leveling option. That or we’ll be designing our own casino parlor from the floor up depending on what we get with housing.
They really could’ve made/should make Gallagio something like the Gold Saucer in FFXIV imo
This entire game is one big gamble. You pay money for the chance of weekly loot. You aren’t guaranteed loot from raid, you gotta roll for it. Your solo shuf partners are completely coin flip. Bg’s? Coin flip. Your vault, rng.
You’re paying for a gambling service
Well, the bad news is we didn’t get that, the good news is we now have a multi-floor bar, dance floor cabaret, and Casino parlor all in the same building with lounges.
If in-game gold isn’t involved, sure.
Aside from obvious legal issues with in-game gold, morally it would rub most the wrong way, plus knowing Blizzard they’d find some way to try to make themselves some cash from it and goof it.
Personally, if folks wanted to make some money, what I’d do is monetize the food like an actual business, say 3 gold a burger or other Undermine disposable item? Afterall, that much food for 40+ folks isn’t cheap you know XD.
I spend nearly 4k gold a week almost in just food and drink items, but it does help with the RP immersion.
