Yes they took out the item you got from dungeon to change reg flight to epic flight so yes, it is comparable.

However, when they announced the MT they said this was a limited time event and that the rewards will be going away at BfA launch.

I’ll never understand the gatekeeping/all the people who are clinging to keeping their 10yr old achieves from newer players. Some people weren’t playing back then, this game is OLD. At the very least, give people a way to earn recolors of them. It’s honestly what they should have done with Remix. A few new colors of the werebear and sparklecats, along with other MT appearances, from like Heroic world tier or a revamped Mage Tower.
Sheesh, give everyone a sparkle kitty for all I care. Druid forms are pretty much their biggest transmog and there are so few options. Too many people wrap their self worth up in achievements they managed a decade ago.

They did say they were removing the MT skins at the end of Legion.
The druid flight form in TBC was earned in a dungeon, by a group. The MT skins were earned by a solo person.
The two events are not comparable at all and you’re being dishonest by comparing the two.

Tbh. I don’t like playing with anyone who has those old skins. I go out of my way to avoid those players - despite them not necessarily doing anything wrong - simply because I don’t want to feel bad by being in their proximity.
Also people who were skilled at WoW 13 years ago aren’t necessarily “still” skilled. I don’t really think anyone is actually good at the game for having them. It was 13 years ago & people age (along w/ their skills)

Honestly dude, this is just a character I made for wow classic during the pandaria thing to get a panda high enough for the mount.
I rarely ever comment on stuff, and this was the default character it had me logged into. If I were to swap characters mid-comment stream, people would think I was two separate people.
You’re just looking for (untrue) reasons to make up for why I, and others, should be unhappy.
Some of your guys sense of entitlement over this is crazy. Yes, you achieved it back in legion and earned the skins the old way. That will always mean something.
But you also can’t deny how the other side of the pool feels. there’s a bunch of cosmetic content for multiple classes that are locked behind what basically equates to a giant collective sense of whiney-pride. bc I guarantee if it wasn’t for the bitter side of the player-base gate-keeping, Blizz would have released those skins properly by now. Why? bc they’re frikin cool, and everyone should have the ability to at least go through what it takes to earn them.
honestly at this point, blizz should just remove the skins completely, including from those that “earned” them, and instead just grant them a regular achievement or at most, a title. bc that’s apparently what you’re all obsessed with; The Status of being there to earn it eight years ago.

That the point you miss both were earned and one was dismissed as not important. Both required knowledge on how to win fight the dungeon one party had to keep boss busy WITHOUT killing boss the druid had to complete there part correct and fast.
