Still bugged, don’t want to abandon in case somehow it’s worse. Standing at like the second spot he goes to sniff for your friends, clicked the mud stuff, nothing happens. No further options.

Same issue here, stuck on escaping the crystal prison
I exited the game right after killing the mob and logged back in to be stuck in the crystal with no action button. Tried relogging, tried rebinding “extra action button 1” to a key, nothing.
Based on the no-progression from abandoning the quest, I’m not gonna abandon it.
There goes a night of farming valor probably T_T

Its Fixed! I just abandoned the quest and picked it up again and automatically got out of the prison

Confirmed not fixed. Honeything didn’t pop out of the ground, abandoned quest, and he’s not back anywhere to pick the quest up again… gg.

Maybe, just maybe that’s the way blizz deal with overcrowding the zone/phase. 
Yeah, you’ll stick around for some time even if you can’t do the campaign but it’s just few rares, so you zone out and it’s not getting overcrowded, making a bigger mess with the servers. Because cmon, there is no way a QA wouldn’t thought of that (abandoning a quest). Plus Ingame Support system was down during the first 2 hours. See how it gets ‘fixed’ tomorrow quickly.
Abandoning worked fine for me. When it bugged out it was at the second dirt mount in front of the small cave with 2 enemies in it. It might bug out because you have to kill those to progress, try making sure those mobs are up before activating that part.
mine bugged out here, too, exactly as you said. I am scared to abandon it, but it is definitely still bugged.

Yup, confirming that this is still NOT fixed. At least for me. I have tried abandoning quest, re-accepting it multiple times as my GM messaged me to do since they have “hotfixed” it. No matter what, the mobs do not revive/respawn for me and I remain trapped in the ice cage.
Mine failed after the freeing myself and calling up Honeypelt at the first ‘dirt spot’. I couldn’t progress once at the second dirt spot. I killed mobs and it was not interactable to call Honeypelt back.
I tried reloading and logging out but neither fixed it. I had to abandon the quest and pick it back up from Honeypelt at the beginning. The second time through it worked fine.
there are three dirt piles, all three are lit up and look active but you gotta go to the one at 33.35, 64.82 first
