You are wrong my dear. Nathanos is the real Warchief. But I am the true ruler of the Horde with all the power I hold as I am Jaquestiney, Hero of Azeroth, the one shotting chaos bolt warlock. Not even the Warchief reigns over me.

I think it was either N’zoth or Azeroth itself.

Think about it, N’zoth has an incentive, because you know, N’zoth is crazy, and Sylvanas being warchief would cause chaos, which Old Gods feed off.

However, if Azeroth felt that the Alliance/Horde war would lead to a confrontation with N’zoth, Azeroth also has a huge incentive.

More likely it would be N’zoth, as Azeroth doesn’t have a huge desire for deception and manipulation, but N’zoth would have a huge incentive to hide from Vol’jin.

Also the Shades were trying to protect the Horde player character from some dark truth, so the truth must be so dark and terrifying, that they were trying to protect us from it. So it might be something incredibly terrible…

The most likely truth I’ve concluded is that Sylvanas needs to win the war, and raise everyone as undead, as only undead can defeat the Void lords. This to me is the most likely explanation.
