Itâs really stupid and either should be written in clear text when byuing the product, or better yet not be a thing. I was nonplussed first time I tried trading a newcomer and he could not pay me!

Couldnât agree more. The 30 day restriction is actually totally bonkers. Blizzard canât come up with any other way to combat RMT? Ridiculous.
I started up an account a couple months ago and almost quit for the same reason.
Using the AH, mail and being able to trade are integral to game experience and progression. ESPECIALLY on a fresh server.
This blanket nuclear option is doing way more harm than good. Blizzard, wake up and fix.
We WANT new and returning players to play. Itâs good for everyone.

An established GDKP isnât any less random than an established guild for the most part. People are incentivized to become regulars, thereâs less loot drama than in typical guilds. Loot councils work pretty well in min max guilds if managed by competent people.
That said the egregious extent of gold buying from obscenely wealthy players is shocking. I think if RMT wasnât a thing GDKP would be a great loot system, rich AHerâs would come and buy stuff and the people contributing in the raid get a cut of that. Everyone can eventually afford the items they want and the GDKP becomes its own small economy. Incentive to clear content, to perform well, to show up is all there. But RMT ruins it and I understand why so many hate GDKPs because of the association they have with RMT, the links pretty undeniable.

Yeah I havenât played in a decade, returned to play with a good group of friends. I canât do anything for them except play my role in a dungeon lol. Tried to give a friend a fire wand, nope. I completely agree that this should have been made loud and clear especially since I am able to use all these features on different versions of the game. I still have my decade old retail characters. I emailed support and received the good ol âThatâs just the way it is, you have 26 daysâ. Guess Iâm playing Solo Self Found till then haha
