It took less than a year for FF14 hype to die

The FF14 community never even hyped the game up, the people leaving WoW did lol.

So are Shadowlands lol.

I mean if you look at WOW tab, the top is nothing but World First raid and then TBC streamer.

Okay, where do I even begin with this one?

First let’s address the viewership. FFXIV is not a game that is fun to just watch someone else play unless you’re watching a first timer do the story and see it play out with their reactions. It’s one of those games that’s better if you just play it yourself. WoW is the opposite of this, the most prominent WoW streamer said according to a number of his fans they don’t even play WoW, they just watch him play it because it makes him mad which they are wanting to see by watching.

Second, WoW currently has RWF going on, a new tier dropped. XIV however is in a content lull and has been for two months while people are waiting for 6.1 in April. Most decent players have already cleared the raid on Savage and are playing Elden Ring or indulging IRL hobbies in between patches. Yes, I know it’s a crazy thing to hear, unlike WoW we’re not going to have to wait 7 months for our first content patch which gives us a slew of new content to indulge in. The game is designed around this, hardcore players burn through content in the first month then take a break as to not burn out. The developers explicitly state they designed the game with this specific ability in mind.

An 9.2 will be dead by Tuesday, because any last form of struggling in the Race will end with double leggos and the viewership will tank. I mean the numbers are basically the first 2 rows and its all the Race…

the RWF average 150-200K every days for 10 days already , it’s giga big

LCS ( League esport in NA ) average 120K viewers and it’s 2 day/weeks

The average is barely over 70k lol.

You missed the point, the world first event is not the norm, once the Mythic raid is over, it will go down like usual.

Uh, what? There’s been a lot of cases in the League community going nuts about female streamers. This was enough of a problem back in Season 3 there was a huge argument about it because professional players on professional teams were pulling in half the viewership of a woman in gold with the camera angled toward her bust and taking up half of the webcam’s broadcast with that little window usually taking up a fourth of the screen.

Maybe this changed since Twitch changed their rules over this, but back then top players were always outviewed by what we called “boobie streams” from people in Silver/Gold tier. One of the most popular streamers was in Bronze, terrible at the game but you know, she was “blessed” and the proportions of the windows made sure that “blessing” accounted for 30% of the screen’s actual size when viewing the stream.

Isn’t there still a race to world first going?

And a patch came out just recently?

even without RWF , the game had 30-60K viewers end of 9.1 which is 10x FF14 viewership

And it will still be 5x ahead of FF14 in viewership. Your point is pointless.

And WoW will still have nowhere near the level of positive reception to ANYTHING they put into the game that Square’s developers get for releasing even Alliance Raids which are easy.

Gonna be funny watching Scripe when RWF ends take his relaxer and be on FFXIV streaming TEA progress and just badmouthing how BS and overtuned this WoW raid was. When he plays XIV all he does is bash WoW and that’s the guy leading what most see as the best guild on WoW. Read that again, the raid leader for the top guild in WoW constantly trashes how bad the game is.

This would be like Ronald McDonald saying “Lmao I eat at Burger King, our food sucks.”

I never bring up FFXIV viewer? I only stated WOW viewerbase is only high because there’s an event?

You don’t have to be so upset, go wipe off your tear furry cow.

Echo struggled in Savage, it’s going to be fun watching them get completely destroyed in Dragonsong’s Reprise lol.

yes people play FF14 because WOW had terrible patchs

People don’t want to play FF14 but they are forced because of WOW patchs recently

FF14 is the second wheels in the backyard

Oh definitely. And the best part is, when they fail it’s going to be something they can work around and fix. It’s not going to be the boss being deliberately overtuned to make the fight look harder than it actually is.

That’s the funniest thing, people said Halondrus wasn’t grossly overtuned and was just hard. . . Anduin fell like a sack of potatoes by comparison and he’s supposed to be one of the hardest fights in that raid. Proof is in the pudding that Halondrus was just overtuned more than anything else.
