I started leveling a character to get ready for phase 4 and my /played is already 48 hours and I’m not even to level 40. My friends want to play but do not want to dedicate 72hours just to get to level 50 and experience phase 4.
Buying a boost to 50 would make farming gold for mounts and leveling professions a bit weird, but it is still better than 72hours.
Curious to hear peoples thoughts.
Some versions of the game like Classic Era, Hardcore and Season of Discovery are not targeted for sales/microtransactions. That’s okay but if it is important to you then perhaps a different offering of Warcraft would suit you better.
Posters on the forum dedicated to Season of Discovery are probably going to be a better source of feedback and opinion.
absolutely not there is no need for micro transactions on the vanilla client
That sounds VERY fast as it is. it took me 288 hours to get to level 50 when Classic launched back in 2019.
That is only 3 days I’m not understanding what the issue is here. Vanilla-like games might not be for folks who would rather pay than level.
9 very casual play sessions; CAKE!
There is no way you can hit 50 in 9 casual play sessions. Everyone is saying they are hitting 50 in 30 hours is crazy. You must have to run incursions non stop to even get close to that.
Never said I do lol, I was meming on that claim.
A casual, solo questing approach to level in classic era can take around 9 days played to 60 (being generous here) if you know the quests in general but are not following an optimized guide. That’s about 6 days played to 50 (yes, a third of Vanilla’s levelling time is 50-60). The 150 percent buff means levelling 2.5 times as fast, but in practice it should be more than that because you can avoid the most annoying quests, the travel across the world (skipping inconvenient zones like Desolace for Alliance), so 3x the vanilla speed, or 2 days played to 50, should be achievable comfortably even not taking advantages of raid/dungeon quests, incursions, etc.
I am finding this to be true. Its like there are 2 camps. 1 group says MMOs should take days to hit 60 and the other brags and says just run incursions on repeat and you will be max level in 30 hours.
Sounds like incursions give you insane XP and gold per hour. The gold per hour in the Hinterlands incursion for level 50 seems to be close to 100g an hour. Which I cant find a profession that can beat that… So kinda destroys the world
just keep playing retail bro we dont want that in a vanilla game
72 hours is nothing, in 2005/2006, people would take months to do 1-60
