you know zone invasions and the air drops from warmode give conquest right? thats an easy 100 conquest a day
One of the many reasons I can’t wait for 2H Frost DK.
I hate off-hands because one of them surely enough sucks and you just can’t find a replacement.
I enjoy weapon drops, but it’s annoying regardless.

On the flipside, I hated having my main slot not change a single time throughout the entire expansion a lot more than I hate the RNG of getting a new weapon. That said, not really a fan of having any slots that you can never replace (with an exception for actual legendaries - not the handout legendaries of recent expansions)
I can see why this would suck a lot more for duel wield specs, though.

I’ve been watching a bunch of Youtube SL preview videos from a bunch of different Youtubers. It appears that 2H Frost DKs do less dmg than dual wielding DKs.

Yeah I’m rocking a timewalking mace with a 400 ah offhand, yet my hunter has had a warfront and emissary for a 440 and 445 bow, go figure.

You mentioned your own solution. I know lots of people don’t like PvP but just doing the Brawl Weekly Quest + a random BG win everyday and you’ll get that capped quickly without much resistance. 
Otherwise make sure you’re running the Dungeons you have upgrades in, even on Heroic if you really don’t like PvP.
I just want my beautiful Xal’Atath back. I’m the only one who was right for her.
Eh well I’ve only been 120 since Saturday so…
Besides I’m not trying to keep up with people who dedicate their lives to this game.

Well I have good news, the weapon boss in Nazjatar is up this week and you can get 415 weapons that has a chance to warforge to 425!
Funny story: The first week of 8.3 I got a 435 polearm with the bleed effect on this toon. I thought I had arrived. About a week later the bleed effect got nerfed but I kept using the polearm even though I don’t think I ever saw it proc after the nerf. Time went on and after I got the third 445 two hander on this toon, I switched and was really surprised at the difference 10 ilvls makes. I don’t know what to make of this, except to say RNG is a bitter companion.
Imagine when all your other gear is 470-475 and your weapons are 440 lol.
Do you hate opening chests? Turn on WM, go to Naj. Do quests or farm resources until the supply crate drops. Open the crate and get 75 conquest.
Invasion up? Turn on WM and do it. There is very little PvP anymore unless you’re in a CTA zone. 60 conquest.
Sit in The main city. Listen for the plane. When the chest drops, open it. 50 conquest.
You can do this once a day.
Are you not doing weapon caches? Horde had one a couple weeks ago iirc. Or were you a lot lower ilvl then? Otherwise, you might need to do weapons the old school way. Raid or join a pug normal group.
Where are these chests? I’ve never seen them. Do they show up on the map?
Just hit 120 Saturday and spent almost all day doing KR and TD +2-6 trying for a weapon and got nothing.
Each zone has multiple possible landing spots. You can see the plane on your map, but I usually go about my business and look when I hear the plane flying by.
Naj chests are announced beforehand “I’ve got some supplies for ya!” They drop every 45 mins or so… maybe an hour.
