For $15 a month, those cache/WTF folders should be deleting themselves (when they need to).

Auto-deleting your settings every month would be pretty irritating.

Cause that’s what the WTF folder actually is.

I can’t imagine the uproar if people had to routinely rebuild all their game/addon settings because they were randomly deleted.

I’ve actually been working on an idea for this… P.S. we could totally have better stuff by now if companies didn’t make things so they break down in a few years, some older people still have their cars and appliances from years ago.

For the longest time I thought the WTF folder stood for the more common usage of the acronym, a lot of times it fits.

What? Get a macOS pc. I’ve never had to do anything like deleting the WTF folder.

Also, hilarious that it’s called the WTF folder.

could you imagine you get everything set to how you like it and then BOOM it’s all back to the default? THE HORROR!!!

It sometimes takes me days to remember where a setting was if I want to change something in an addon setting. I can’t imagine having to remember how to do all that on a regular reoccurring basis.

The WTF folder contains all of the settings for each of your characters and/or accounts. This includes any addon settings. You really don’t want it to be deleted automatically on a periodic basis.

Actually If you look at the file permission for the WoW folder, they do have permission to write and delete files
