With Legion Remix coming out, it’s time for some Phoenix-like love! Bring back the artifact models for Mage Tower!
Recolors are perfectly fine!
I mean, I wouldn’t say no if the original colors came back, but recolors are AAAA–OOOOOKKKKKKKK with me!
I hope to see more Sparkle Kitties in some sort of color available :3

This is the only fair option and compromise. Fair for those who either never tried or weren’t there for the originals, and fair for all those crazy people who literally have every single one earned already.
Not sure what they’ll do for evoker though. That is probably a hurdle.
Recolors would probably be the way to go here. I’m assuming our weapons will fill the role our cloaks did in MoP Remix. It’d be the perfect opportunity to bring these looks back.

the insane copium i see about these dated weapons is insane. its gonna be funny seeing the rage threads when the mage tower appearances dont make an appearance in the remix
The Mage Tower in general seems like an extremely poor fit for Remix (assuming Legion works similarly to MoP at least). I expect they’ll probably just remove it.
Class-exclusive transmog on an event that only lasts 2-3 months? Sure leveling was fast if you knew how to do it, but gearing wasn’t, and it’s a big ask regardless.
Then there’s the fact that Remix was all about boosting your character’s strength to ludicrous levels. Geared characters could faceroll any content in MoP Remix. That completely undermines the challenge aspect. They could scale it like the modern Mage Tower I guess, but then gearing is pointless.
Realistically, we all know the mage tower mogs aren’t coming back. Otherwise they would have brought the mop challenge mode mogs back during mop remix. But one can always hope.
And the fact that they kept the proving grounds in during mop remix (as well as all the associated achieves) makes a good argument for the mage tower to also be involved during legion remix.
You can’t even be proud of having some of these things. People say you’re spiteful or gate keeping for being there, playing, earning. The poorest attitudes are the ones who demand, feel entitled, to these things. It is exhausting. I even support recolors 100%. But that isn’t enough seemingly.

The recolours are stupid, I agree. At a bear minimum, I would like it such that Legion remix allows us to face roll our way to the book mount meta achieve if not the mage tower mogs.
N9thing is impossible now. All of the other special time related things have been put back into the game. Only a matter of time before the mt is as well.

I agree with most of what you said. The irony is the people asking for Mage Tower rewards to return are against “fomo” but Legion remix rewards would be too.

Sure, but you could buy other class transmogs, so you only needed one toon for those.
Assuming the mage tower kept the original acquisition method of clearing the spec’s individual challenges, you would need one of every class (barring evoker assuming they don’t get anything added in) to get them all.
