You just have to be persistent and be ok with rejection. I usually go to LFG, look for groups that are running what I want and apply to the max number. I usually get into a group within 10 minutes.
Unless you’re on the top of some graph then you will have a long wait. Groups want the best combination for a quicker run, and they see that a spec is preforming higher than the others. They’re going to natural invite that person over one that’s less useful.
It’s all about patience when looking for groups.
It’s pretty cutthroat for DPS to get into pug M+ groups - it’s like Score > Class > ilvl. If you are slightly behind other applicants on any of those 3 categories, you might feel like you’re just constantly rejected.
super solid advice for everyone, but especially for dps! i rarely have trouble finding groups because i have a pretty good network of people who run keys at all hours of the day. it’s unusual that i get on and nobody is looking to fill a group. i’ll pug if i have to, and when i do i find that early morning tends to be best… less competition
