Around 4am, we were sitting at a heat index of 87° F before the sun was even up. A quarter til 7am now, and even after a shower and sitting in the AC, you can just feel the heat outside.
Stay safe out there folks.

Yeah. This heat sucks. And, sadly, we get to look forward to almost every year going forward being the “hottest year ever recorded,” so its only going to get worse
Walked out just a few minutes ago to that muggy ick.
Was 32c here in london ontario with like… 90% humidity yesterday. Led to one hell of an electrical storm.
California is experiencing one of its coolest summers in years. It will be 86° where I am today. Normally, this time of year it would be over 100°.
Buckle up. It’s going to get progressively worse every year from here on. The clock has started. Large portions of the planet will be uninhabitable to life as we know it within 50 years.
Can we please finally believe in the science of climate change now?
I feel it could stand to be hotter.
It’s just ordinary hot here. Currently 80F, high 98F.
The temp here isn’t crazy (around 80-ish), but the humidity…that’s the real life sapper right there.
I’ve been boiling alive in my work truck, which is an oven made of heat from the sun and the transmission just below my feet that ain’t got A/C and barely has a functional fan in it to move air.
Im working a project in the middle of a warehouse at the end of a table sweating 10h a day for the whole summer…
Dont gotta remind me its hot xD. Drink lots of water all! If its yellow drink til its clear, dont wait til you’re thirsty.
Heat injuries make you more susceptible to another. Stay cool and hydrated!
It’s so hot, Shrek is in my underwear arguing with my butt about whose swamp it is…
trolls be flippin out mon
I’m sure it’ll be fi~ instantly turns i to a puddle upon stepping outside
I got a 8000 BTU AC for the living area of our place here. Was freezing me out, lol.
Then it got recalled so I got a smaller unit thats only 5000 BTU thinking if the 8000 was too much, 5000 would be perfect.
Meh…its ok, but just not the same.
Many climate forecasters believe we are heading towards a global cooldown based on less sun activity for the next 20 years or so.
Be careful of “hottest year ever recorded” language. Most of the time it is not true. They need to leave out a similar heating pattern we had in the early 1900’s that came after a little ice age in the 1800’s. The climate has been changing and will change for billions of years.
Humans are the equivalent to microbes riding a brontosaur in how little we can affect global climate.
“Many”. Call me skeptical…especially since “Many” scientists say we are pretty much at the point of no return for annual temperature rise
But hey, if it actually gets cooler I will celebrate but considering how long this heating up streak has been going on, I wont be holding my breath
All four of our roof units went out, apparently got fried during the really bad storm we had in the spring. We spray dry and the dryers run at 400 degrees plus. Metal building and the heat index has been about 110 every day this week.
I had a whole home humidifier put it and it gave me a resignation notice this week.
