I had not logged on in 80 days or whatever and i was excited to do the arathi story then i discover the nPC doesnt exist for me to start it because i havent done any of the previous campaign quests.
Blizzard in the state the game is in … and how steep the drop offs are its time to do away with this and just let us continue.
I love legacy areas like arathi and i care nothing for the war within areas so I guess i will never see this new storyline.

To be fair the campaign is pretty bad and locking people out of new content for not engaging with a bad story is only a small part of that fact.
Either do it, or don’t, it’s your choice.
But this game will keep on going regardless of your choice, this dramatic post is kinda pointless.

You do realize that you couldn’t even go to Undermine without completing the S1 story, correct? Meaning no sidestreet sluice, no raid, no underpin. So it’s not just about being barred from the story itself. You are barred from playing the game if you don’t complete their bad story in the assigned order.

I’m enjoying the raid, delves, M+, and even a bit of timewalking since they improved it a bit.
The story is bad though, yes.
Not everything is bad. Just everything about the story.
If you like the old stuff but not the new stuff then there is always classic.
From what you say it appears that you do like when the new people write stories about old content. Maybe SoD would interest you.
If not then maybe WoW is not the game for you. There are many other choices.
Except, heres the thing, stories are subjective.
I quite enjoyed the story. I am working on all the other sidequests before I finish the new bit, though, and I am sure I will enjoy that as well.
