Didn’t say that it does. It does, however, show that they are invested in the game (which is a different game than retail) and are not just trolling on a retail character.
You give no reason for your request. Not one single reason.
So I assume you want this so you can use the information to violate the TOS. Request denied.
What’s next? Only level 60 players? Only certain classes or factions?
I don’t think so. Anyone can make a level 1 character in a minute.
Character has to be level 10 to talk on forums, but that is beside the point. The point is that if you see a level 10 posting about major changes to classic, you can most likely bet they are trolling and not a serious classic player.
Nah let’s make it level 36. Level 36 players are trolling and aren’t serious about Classic.
Log out, then log back in. It forces an update.
No one posts on retail general forums
My money is as green as yours.
'Nuff said.
That’s already starting to happen. The goal posts just keep moving.
I did not feel I needed to spoon feed the reader. Apparently I was wrong.
What?
I can see why you would hold your less than an hour of forum experience and trust level on that alt so dear, to be firmly against this request.
Make trust level account wide and I’ll think about it.
I have no objections to that. However can you honestly tell me that trust level means a damned thing in regard to your forum experience? How many links have you posted as hotlinks when it is just as easy to just use the <?> tag
? How many gifs have you seen (on the classic forum) that actually enhanced your forum experience?
The entire “trust level” thing is a big old nothingburger. You could have thousands of likes of your hundreds of posts, and a trust level of 3, and if you catch a mod reading reports on a bad day, you’ll lose that nothingburger in an instant.
It has a negative impact.
Nuff said.
Makes no sense to me. I always post on this character. I play both classic and retail (although much more Classic). Seems to make more sense to have people just post on one character throughout. What possible harm is there is me posting on this character rather than my Classic character(s)?
How about this reason then:
I post on both forums, both classic and retail. And I’m not going to change my forum avatar each time because some classic nerd said to. Lol. JFC get over yourselves.
I could ask the same thing about which forum avatar people use.
Also this.
Then enjoy having less credibility when speaking on certain subjects.

Why would you, unless you haven’t actually read the reasons earlier and just want to demonstrate that you have not actually read them?
and if you catch a mod reading reports on a bad day, you’ll lose that nothingburger in an instant.
I have to say, I was pretty dang disappointed when I was sent on a long vacation for saying “Don’t worry Muffin, you’ll get your wow wow gamey time soon enough.”
People have said far worse to me and got away scot-free.
Then enjoy having less credibility when speaking on certain subjects.
Nobody needs approval from the kind of sperg that actually cares what avatar people use to post on forums.
