I have 1,217 unique pets, 1,216 of which are 25, all of them rare and I hate pet battling 
Despise it. But I’m a collector and I don’t get to pick and choose what I do.

Eevee is best Pokemon, always. My friends even took me Build-a-Bear and bought me an Eevee plushy; I had to do the song, dance, and love theatrics that every BaB goes through before you can take it away to its forever home.
I happily did so as a fully grown man.

Your experience sounds a lot like mine when it comes to pet battles. When they were introduced, I had no interest at all. Then, during WoD when there was so little to do, I started collecting and leveling pets. Enjoyed it and have been kept with it ever since. After all these years, I’m up to 1239 pets all at max level…and still collecting. =)
If you’re enjoying it, keep with it. You’ll find there’s quite a bit to do with pet battles/collecting to keep you going during otherwise slow content times.

I like it as a vehicle to collect lil cool models that follow you around.

I find it a bit mundane and only keep some at max level to catch other pets. I do like Poogermans though, probably because it’s a bit more in-depth though.

This may sound crazy but when MoP launched instead of racing off to the new content to level I headed outside to elwynn forest and started capturing creatures (was Alliance then). I didn’t head off to the actual content until I was ready to catch all the panda pets.
it’s a fun little system, plus I adore that I can name them.

I bought a few cheaper ones today and went to collect others. I have one level 25 from the token you get by opening the menagerie.
Hey…can I get that same token by opening a menageri on alts?
I have the Iron Starlette because I learned how to do that three-move thing that kills just about everything. That’s my level 25. The rest are slowly working up. I did all the BfA pet world quests today, and that was fun. I’m working through the world pet masters to level things. I got the addons. It will be a discovery to learn it all and go collecting.

I do the same thing at the beginning of an xpac since MoP. BfA released on like, Aug 14th? I had Battle Safari on Aug 20th Priorities man.

Do you play on a lot of servers? You can add what servers you play on to this website and add one of your characters and it’ll scan your pet collection and tell you what realm has the cheapest pets that you’re missing.

Battle pets are okay. I wouldn’t spend hours on it like some people, though. I remember when it was introduced almost everyone hated it.
I have toons on five realms. I only really play on two, but I have some on five. I never would have thought of that, Ruggi. Great idea, and thanks!

Oh, I’m always excited when a player discovers Battle Pets. They are so fun to collect, and several of them have unique abilities when summoned in-game.
