With the added character slots I’ve finally thought about trying out a mechagnome. Thing is, I can’t unlock them on my account. Either I’m missing something or my account is just broken. It’s been like this forever but I’ve never minded because I never had any desire to make one.
Anyway, I read up on all the requirements on Wowhead and I’ve done them all. I have both the Rustbolt Rebellion and the The Mechagonian Threat achievements completed. The Wowhead attunement tracker shows I’ve completed everything. The mechagnome banner in the SW embassy says I’ve completed everything. I just can’t get the quest to unlock them.
Can anyone think of anything I might be missing?

You have to go through the intro to Mechagon on an Alliance character and go through the intro questline so you can pick up a quest from prince bro involving Mekkatorque’s injuries. And you have to go through that whole thing before you actually unlock mechagnomes. I had to go through that too and I went through the same problems.

I think I have one at least one Alliance alt. Wouldn’t the constant ‘Mekkatorque is injured and needs your help’ spam mean I’d completed it? I remember that on at least one alt.

Dunno. I know for me I had to go through that whole thing before it would even let me unlock mechagnomes. I did it on a warrior. I had to go through the whole war campaign and then I had to go through the unlock Mechagon intro. Then I had to when I got there go through the tour, go to Mechagon’s entrance, get the stuff from that initial quest where Gazlowe and gnome bro walk with you in the spider tank with prince bro and then I was able to pick up a quest involving Mekkatorque’s pod from Dazar’alor and that put me on the path to unlocking Mechagnomes.

AR unlocks need to be changed to the following:
- hit level 10 on one character
- get a quest to go to the embassy
- pick up scenario quest from the representative
- run scenario
- unlock AR

The reason you need Mechagon unlocked on the Alliance character is because the quest line takes you there. Check around Boralus on the character with it unlocked for a Gnome with a quest. You may have to enable tracking low level quests too.

Id love to play one…got them unlocked, but man they look terrible in any mogs I put on them.

Thanks all. I think I might be on the right track. Cycled though my Alliance alts until I found one at the stage to send Mekkatorque to Megagon. On my way there now. Hope this is short.
