Class identity/theme went out the window when blizzard decided it was too time consuming to have class sets so just made armor class sets instead

just look at some of the old ‘farmer’ looking sets from classic, I think. Literally just looks like something a pandaren farmer would wear and I think I have them in all of the armor types…they ALL look like cloth…not mail or plate for certain.
Just remove the restrictions already.

As a class with probably the worst mogs in the game, I support this idea…but I also know that it’s never going to happen.
That one is a TOTAL joke, see my post above this one.
Long lists of armor for YEARS, some back in very early wow, that doesnt look anything like the type it says it is.
Course we always get the “muh huh” sorts claiming it does when even they know it doesnt, just to be contrarians.

Oh come on. That train has long left the station. If a Vulpera can walk around in a Sentinel costume, something that even among the Night Elves only a small elite is allowed to wear, then there is no need to unnecessarily limit the rest of the transmogs.

Im on the side of keeping the restrictions but changing some select items to be universal.
Why? Classes can were off pieces that match their armor siblings all the time
Why is a rogue wearing war look alike gear blasphemy but not if it’s a dk?
While at the same time rogues that are dwarves, DID, LFD, human can wear plate Esq gear via heritage.
We have freaking sailor moon gear for everyone!!!
But rogue wearing war is the hill you wanna die on.sorry but there is absolutely zero logic in that.

There is ZERO possibility anyone is sitting in Valdrakken clicking on everyone who passes making sure their paladins armor LOOKS like plate. lol.
And IF they were, frankly I can offer up some therapist names who might help someone get a handle on the compulsive behavior that might be a symptom of deeper issues.
and again…toss in the links I posted up above where cloth sets look more ‘plate’ than many plate sets do and the restrictions are just silly at this point

oh yeah.
I have a pvp set on my goblin rogue…Geeezuz Crisco…looks NOTHING like a rogue and calling it ‘leather’ seems like a stretch too. I might see about posting a screen shot after I get back from picking up the wife.
