There are optimal things you have to do and it’s predictable. Especially with all the weak auras now.
My only point of contention between PVP & PVE is that the tier sets need to be for said content.
No reason there should not be pvp sets versus pve as the content is different so why would a player want what is good for PVE or vice versa?
Thoughts?
How is PVP and PVE not separate enough? There is separate gearing, separate spell modifiers, separate talents, separate game modes, separate open world.
Are you made about the ring? The one that takes 10min to get and might add 3% damage?
Who plays pvp in FF14 though?
Sorry, but this really sound disingenuous.
Those PVP modifiers, they aren’t even in the tooltips. It’s real hassle for somebody to find them, and shouldn’t really be an outsourced thing. That stuff needs to be in the tooltips.
Separate talents, you’re right. But do not forget that ALL the PVE talents also weight in, and I’d say way more impactful than most of those PVP ones, and that’s the point of discontent - we do get to eat the consequences of PVE balancing on those. See the whole Rapture fiasco for Disc, for example.
Separate game modes, indeed there are, but that’s in every PVP mmorpg out there, it’s the bare minimum. I wouldn’t necessarily put the open world there because the only thing going on if there’s yes/no to pvp battle. The world is still the same sans a couple of World Quests that don’t even fully require PVP interaction to begin with.
Do you? PVP might not be overly popular because of how limited the game modes are, but the CC (small scale mode) queues are always somewhat 5 minutes, or almost instant when there’s a new season and people are farming the rewards.
As much as the game had many recent failures, the PVP rework last expansion definitely was not one of them.
Disagree.
I’m not even a big fan of the seperation that currently exists.
