How ele and arcane/frost mages are a whole expansion ahead of every caster right now is pretty insane. Its even more insane how they’ve been dodging nerfs this whole time.

Ele is pretty special in the fact that its a true hybrid, and it has one of the best passive defenses in the game, along with insane utility for its team.
I wouldn’t put mage specs with ele at all. They’re insanely strong yes, but ele is just a different tier.
Ele also is just easier for someone to pick up.

Do you know how contradictory this is? Most people in here saying ele is easier than mage. Yet people can’t succeed on it?
I’m saying it because we saw a ton of both ele and mage. Both won their perspective regions. They are 100% on the same tier. Anyone who thinks different is fried.
Now let’s get which is the true masterclass by getting a lan so we can see echo vs jung

Mage has been Tier S in every xpacs that is a lost fight that i am already use to but now eles i feel they are more strongs that mages, eles can shut dow an entire team by themself and they are very tanky.
Yes they’re better and they understand what comp will give them the best chances of winning and they didn’t pick ele.
Ele is OP tho, but mage is obviously better.
Nah ele is better than mage. Being way easier to play too.

I think you’re one of the very few people that would say this. Frost mage just annoys melee to death, but has clear ways to lose, even if it’s frustrating to deal with. Ele just doesn’t have that clear way to lose, especially in an rdruid meta, and ESPECIALLY if they can play with a melee at the time that has overwhelming pressure or peel (e.g. DH)
I mean just because eles here suck doesn’t mean that anyone enjoys playing vs ozz. It also doesn’t change the fact that a top ele is going to make the game super unenjoyable for people more than a top mage. I’m biased because when I play with gkarz, I find it super easy to just not lose the game, whereas when I play with volkazar I find it super easy to just win the game. I’d any day take the defensive aspect over offensive.
Prevy would win. Like landslide type win. Prevy/Drake are way too good together, and Prevy ele is on a different world of disgusting.

I don’t know man… They threw a few games they had won. Echo seemed dialed in at the end.
Regardless… Sad days we don’t get to see them Duke it out.
The only différence is ele only got dmg but no cc compared to mage, so without some kind of setup or another dps mate with unhealable dmg you can’t kill anything before huge damp.
But both are extremely hard to kill if you rotate your def and kiting tools correctly.
Also ele don’t cast single spell at all and can get flamme shock easily and don’t get punished by dispel compared to sp or affliction for example.
