Issues with telegraphed abilities

  • Ara-kara mini-boss frontals before before the first boss by the spiders. Either the telegraph is smaller than the actual hit, or it desyncs for some players. I got 1 shot by the frontal despite being to the left of it. I was called blind for not seeing it, and then I saw it happen to our healer the next run. On my screen they were clearly inside, but they claimed not to be, so there’s something going on here
  • Ara-kara before last boss. For once the white ones were showing, but it turns out there was a black puddle as well, dropped by a flyer. This puddle was completely invisible.
  • Lots of line mechanics have a fading edge. On the beezookas in meadery you can stand at the edge of the fading and not get hit, while on Forgeweaver you’ll still get hit.
  • I suspect Forgeweaver beams are slightly bigger than the telegraph as I also died walking out of it. Having 6ms ping my corpse was completely clear of the line.
  • The void elementals or whatever they are called in Dawnbreaker often cast their swirly vomit in a way where it disappears under the terrain or stairs
  • The big beam telegraph in gambit from the part before last boss doesn’t show properly when stairs are involved
  • telegraphed abilities rely on a graphic setting “projected textures”. You shouldn’t be able to turn off mechanics with a graphics setting.

I’m sure there are more telegraph mechanic issues, such as extremely poor visibility of cones in general. People with less than perfect eye-sight still exist.

The cone frontals from the mini-bosses before 2nd boss in Dawnbreaker also have this issue.

i think overall, they need to take a look @ the color theme of whatever zone we’re in and ensure that telegraphed abilities DO NOT use similar colors as the zone.

What was that weird druid fight in Amirdrassil where EVERY SINGLE ABILITY was a shade of green? i mean..cmon..

Three people (including myself) were one shot to a bugged mini boss frontal in my Ara-Kara run earlier. We were definitely not in the visual, and I usually have no issue properly dodging it. All three of us stood still in our positions as it dropped because we were all clear of it on our screen. Something was definitely off.

I suspect with the new expansion just around the corner that they won’t be spending any time on fixing the current dungeons. I think all we can hope for is that the new instances won’t have these problems.
