So about 3-4 weeks ago, my ability to “Sign in with Apple” quit working, I am still able to login in with my username/password without issues. I am not sure if something in the OS, Battlenet, or Safari changed, I suspect something did in one of them. I think when I originally set it up I had a similar issue and ultimately had to update a permission to get it to work. Unfortunately I can’t remember what I did to make it work, and I have been unable to find anything on the internet that gives me any ideas on what to even look at.
Current behavior
- From the Battle.net app, I click on the Apple Logo. It opens up a small popup which appears to be linked to Battle.net which says “use your browser to complete the login” there is a cancel button. It also launches a Safari window which allows me to log in.
- In the Safari Window, I authenticate, and it does its thing, the window shows a green check, and says I can return to the game. The “Use your browser to complete the login” popup hasn’t gone away though. When it worked, that window would automatically close.
- When I go back to battle.net I don’t have access, my only option is to hit “cancel” on the popup. After doing this, it returns me back to the login screen where I am not logged in.
- Repeating the process does nothing, and ultimately I simply just log in with my username/password which works fine.
