Issues with mouseover macros

I have recently started using mouseover macros on my monk with standard blizzard party frames and half the time it dosen’t work and heals me instead of the target while they are right next to me so no LOS/Range issues are present to make the macro spas out. I have tried both types of macro strings below with no luck, hopefully someone can add some insight or help me fix it.

1. #showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,exists,nodead][exists,nodead][@player] Soothing Mist

2. #showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help] [help,nodead] [@targettarget,help,nodead] [@player] Soothing Mist

You mention “Standard Blizzard Party frames” are you using the default Dungeon Party frames or the Raid Frames?

If it’s the party frames for Dungeons, my past experience is that only part of the frame “qualifies” for the mouse over and you should use Raid Frames instead.

Raid frames can be enabled for dungeons by opening the Game menu, clicking Interface, click Raid Profiles, and then check the box for “Use Raid Style party frames”.

Experiment with the other options as well.

Using Mouseover heals with the dungeon party frames was completely frustrating and this will be like a breath of fresh air. It doesn’t look pretty but it works.

Checked interface and I had already changed it to Raid Style party frames a while ago, trying to see if it clashes with an addon currently. Might have to opt out for a similar style Raid frames if it persists.

Both your versions should work without issue but I’d personally use the following:

I know it’s a dumb question but you’ve triple checked you’re using the macro and not the spell from your spellbook right?

Yeah man have macro text on to make sure of that after a situation with detox a while back.

Do you have any WeakAuras etc. attached to your party/raid frames that could be preventing interacting with them?

Only weakauras i run are the standard Uldir/M+ ones nothing that would specifically mess with the party frames themselves.

Found the issues ends up i had bartender bars running through my party frames that weren’t set to click through or turned off completley. Thanks for helping!
