So does anyone else have issues with wow crashing / not responding during raid bosses and in bgs when many people use abilities all at once? This has been an almost every lfr boss some times multiple times per boss issue for me. It also happens in bgs like Eye of the storm when everyone rushes middle. To be clear its not a crash like in Wintersgrasp but its like it freezes and stops responding

Do you have out dated add-ons installed?
Have you tried lowering settings since the patch?
Probably should take it to the cs forum.
Run a full diagnostic. Msdiag. Capture all that. Check addons. Check WTF folder.
nope for addons and no for lowering settings my pc isnt a slouch tbh
i just wanted to know if anyone else had issues like this before I looked too far into it. This prepatch is so full of bugs and what not wasnt sure if this was just another one
It’s really hard to say. There are times where my computer will crash during large instances.
My GPU just can’t keep up with all the things going on.
Maybe if you can specifically recreate the event that way you could say hey when I do X, Y happens.
For me it’s never specific and seems to be an unknown issue when I get crashes like these in battlegrounds and they do happen frequently.

kinda what i was afraid of blizz has kinda went all out on the effects for abilities especially ground effects
I know someone who bought a new GPU because of low fps, when it was out dated add-ons…
Anyways… I’ve had fps dips on 5 that made the game unplayable with stutters, 7-10 settings are fine /shrug
What has helped me and it’s not really productive is to decrease the amount of effects and things like that in my graphic setting all the time.
Or just make a concerted effort to turn everything down to the lowest level you can tolerate whenever you join a BG.
Turn it all back on when you get out of the instance
I used to drop settings in mythic raid to boost my fps so maybe its just getting to the point were ya need to do it in other content now. I just dropped from 8 to 4 in lfr to test
I don’t have a high end PC, have spell effects on dynamic I can’t see a damn thing.
Update your optional driver’s, brother.
Yeah I would start there at least as a temporary fix.
Until you can isolate the problem. I’m not an expert on these things but I know people with the customer service forum could probably read your diagnostic stuff and might find something.
It’s like I know that of all the graphic settings that I can change within the game, I cannot manually turn off the resolution in the game without it crashing.
Nvidia has parameters that are set outside the game and then operate differently while I’m running the game.
The way things are with this game it feels like you have to take 10 steps forward only to be forced tp go back six steps.
All of my drivers and addons are up to date, and this is happening very frequently to me. (>15 times today, about 7 times in a single Ashran BG).
Always > 100 fps and smooth sailing before the prepatch, now any content with large groups consistently results in my fps tanking and then the game not responding until closed.

Im having the same issue. All addons are up to date, all drivers are up to date, and graphics setting is turned down. I’ll be running at a smooth 50 fps which is normal for my gaming laptop, then when I’m in a bg or raid, all of the sudden my fps will stutter, then my screen with freeze, and then the game will stop responding. I really need a fix for this as soon as possible before i break something in a fit of rage
