Its likely no one will read this but I wanted to give my thoughts on bag space.
I main a druid so inevitably I have bag space issues. However, there are a few things that Blizz could do to help players with minimal dev effort.
Make Sandworn Relics part of the currency tab and get them out of our bags/banks. If this is too much effort, at least make them infinitely stackable. (BOA too plz but that’s a different discussion)
Auto deposit anima items. The process of running back and forth to your sanctum to clear bags filled with anima items that have little to no value anymore feels bad. Or maybe put an item in game that allows you to deposit from anywhere. Either way these items take up too much space.
Allow me to apply conduits without needing to be at the forge.
Allow me to learn Runecarving memories without being in the runecarving room
Some of these may have lore restrictions but I have seen recent changes that don’t make a ton of sense lore wise so why not put together a list of things that will improve my time in Azeroth…
I read it and it isn’t just a druid problem. It isn’t even a new problem. Many, if not most have been struggling with too much crap and not enough space to store it.
That reminds me I need to finish cleaning my garage later. Thanks.
How? After getting the shadowlands bags I barely use 1 bag for potions and food. Are you truly minmaxing so hard you have 4 seperate gear sets on you at all times?
I love posts like this. I agree and would add that I think reagents should stack to 1000 or 2000; rows of fish are annoying to me.
With conduits and runecarver memories, they are rewards and so, in our excitement for something new or an upgrade, the process is finalized by going to the place to make them happen. I think that this part is important and makes you look at what you have instead of some automated system.
they really have to do away with the pieces of something to open chests, for example the relics (six pieces) to open chests in black empire assault areas. or the unique 5 thingos to open a sand worn chest. or the 15 whatchamacallits to open a povis cache.
nothing like getting a repeated failed quest error noise because my bags are full and i wandered into a world quest which needs to foist a quest item into my inventory
one of the reasons only two of my alt army has even seen mechagon island was because of how often my inventory would be full and i’d have to summon cousin slowhands after every loot attempt
Please don’t
I am leveling side covens, and don’t want my anima in their reservoir.
Also
There is a NPC in Zereth Mortis you can deposit anima with. I haven’t been back to my sanctum in awhile now.
I’m a huge fan of time-gated convenience. I think all of the things you listed (Minus the currency tab aspect) could easily be time-gated conveniences.
As for the currency point. So many things should be currency instead of an item. Probably even Anima honestly. We should have an entire currency system to keep our inventories clean for items we actually want to collect ourselves.
They should also make quest items have their own bag space and not use up our inventory slots. Anima should also just be a currency especially with so many different types that take up inventory space.
I have one 34 slot bag and 3 32 slot bags and rarely run out of space, even knowing my first two bags have a lot of random junk in them. That said, I fully agree we need larger bags and a closer look at some items to either go into the currency section or stack a lot higher. The only time I seem to run out of space is if I’m running old dungeons over and over without clearing them in between, however I have run out in the past, like at Mechagon getting all of the random items there. I don’t see how it could be a problem to raise the stack numbers and maybe make larger bags, I feel like we’ve had these bag sizes forever and I don’t know why they aren’t making bigger ones available. /shrug
you can take out any qty of anima you want and re-earn it on the covenant you switch to. A small price to pay for like 11 saved bag slots at certain times.
Easy fix is having consumables stack to 200. Frees up gbank spots and generic slots.
Also blizz should work toward having an ATT (all the things addon) source information in the tooltip of items. So many things thrown at people and they keep them simply because they aren’t low ilvl gear or are pire vendor grays. Like the bastion drums, korthia shrooms, ZM enhancements/bufonid flavor item, etc. Also if items had blizz dictated info if was removed or not I believe people would likely feel ok to remove non-removed items more readily from their banks (unless sentimental for using item).
It seems pretty clear there is some limit since a great deal of the 9 types of profession only bags from many different expansions have a limit of 36. And why they made the 2 unique hard to get generic bags 34 (exclusivity).
Stack increase likely being the next thing and making generic bags only go to 34 would be the easiest fixes.
Hard fix is putting info readable in stock ui for what the purpose and source of an item, so people can more readily use/delete it. Instead of having to use an addon or wowhead.
