I wouldn’t mind, since to me it’s just a number, but I know many wouldn’t like it. It’s a hot button topic
RNG
It’s necessary, but if its reduced too much we quickly run out of things to chase, it’s the carrot on a stick.
Flying issues
Well, I don’t think just “not flying” is gonna cut it. It’s the genie that was let out of the bottle back in BC, and it’s super convenient to use. I don’t really care personally if I can fly or not, but if I have it I’m gonna use it.
Removing Portals
The problem isn’t that the world needs to be bigger. It needs actual stuff to do in it, and not just be a glorified loading screen between old raids/dungeons for mount/transmog farming.
Titanforging
I don’t mind it, it incentivizes me to go back and do (slightly) older content for a chance at a upgrade. It’s stupid rare anyway for people to get insane TF’s anyway.
Rep Grinds
Devs have said that they want reps to be more tied to outdoor content and story, so tabard rep farming is pretty much dead with that statement.
Some of your points are valid, but the snark and condescending tone doesn’t help.
Titanforging should stay, but it should be limited on how big a titanforge/warforge can be. This adds incentive to continue to play game. Who cares what little Timmy gets, if he sucks he’s going to suck in higher gear as well. It changes nothing aside from players being butthurt seeing someone else get a good roll.
Titanforging shouldn’t be in the game, and it has nothing to do with casual players.
Titanforging exist to keep the hardcore playerbase from doing a raid, and leaving, like they always do.
Previously when you got yourself a full set of raid gear and you finished the tier, you were done, that’s it. You’re at the height of your power until the next raid tier, go do some PvP and destroy other players.
But now, because titanforging exist, you’re never done. There’s never an end or height in power until every piece of gear is titanforged with a socket and correct secondary stats.
Oh, I’ll question Little Timmy. That’s it, meet me behind the 7-11 Little Timmy. Think you’re so tough don’t you, Little Timmy… I will fight a child, and I’ll probably win. Like 65-70% I’ll win, you like those odds Timmy?!! Yeah, didn’t think so.
Very nice post op. I agree with everything but titanforging. I need a reason to keep doing the same raid over and over. I don’t care what little timmy drops, I just care about my own drops.
