Load times have been slow all week. Multiple people in my guild have mentioned it. Now I am having issues logging in. Client seems to freeze on a full load bar. When I alt-f4 and relaunch, I get a ‘character already exists’ message. I had some luck logging into a different character (with all addons disabled), then logging back in to the first character. However, this is not a sure fix; it only works sometimes. I am experiencing this in Valdraken and loading in to heroic Dungeons.
As a side note, I feel like I used to see a lot more blues responding in these threads. I feel like I hardly see them respond anymore. Perhaps blizz should hire more people.

I have the same issue right now.
Stuck at 100% load. If I alt-f4 character name exists.
Doing it on multiple characters.
Additionally after reloading wow the characters have no location when they did previously. (i.e. Stormwind)
I’m having this same issue, tried doing the character stuck thing and it fixed it but now its happening again and character stuck is on an 8hr cooldown. Was flying to Halls of Infusion when the portal, my party and the summoning stone all disappeared. Tried logging out to fix it and now can’t log in to any of my characters.
Having the same problem, got better after unstucking character but now that it has happened again I can not get into any character just get stuck at 100% load screen

Tried all addons on and off - which shouldnt matter which all my chars use the same and they can get in.
Yeah I have been getting this all weekend now…usually its all been when I was playing my HM Tauren and doing midsummer fires to level her up…
Agreed, something has been off since last patch day. Many times after completing an instance my groups and I have been defeated by the hearthstone boss. Forcing the game to close and coming back in on a new character, as the locked toon shows no location, will result in multiple of your own toons being online. There were 3 of me online this morning. One of them was still online from when I logged out last night, 8 hours previously. NPCs and mobs just disappear in the world. Suggesting my computer and Blizzard servers aren’t on the same page. A guildie was questing and was suddenly transported back in time/space by about 10 minutes, as though he hadn’t made any quest progression.
I reported this in the In-Game Bug Reporter already. I would have done it again this morning, but gave up because of how difficult it was to do anything in game.
Please help Blizzard, you’re literally our only hope.

Same issue. Four characters stuck on the game in loading screen. The blue response is much more like AI bot rhetoric. Trying fresh install. This was a bad decision. The download speed is so slow it stops with a message “oops look like something went wrong.” Good luck all!
Right now I am on my HM Rogue who is getting rubberbanded from the Plains too the Span…7 times so far I have been rubberbanded…makek that 8 times now…I can’t even log out I tried it doesn’t count down…can’t see any NPC’s …
Can’t even take the portal out of Valdrakken, can’t mount up, can’t use the AH or mail system.
Same thing just happened to me on my Blood Elf hunter main, tried to go to a WQ outside Valdrakken and no NPCs spawned, couldn’t dismount, etc. I was then DC’d and presented with the infinite character already exists message. Was able to log in on my other chars fortunately, but my main is now stuck in limbo.
