Issue with the warrior kit for M+

Warrior lacks a ress or hero
It doesn’t have a significant CC to deal with adds or hunter trap affixes
It lacks a group CD to assist; its shout has been completely nerfed to the point of being almost useless.
Warrior also lacks any form of dispel
Its buff benefits only those using attack power; it’s a completely outdated buff and comparing it to the druid’s, it’s infinitely worse.

There’s simply no reason to add a warrior to your group; in most cases, the DPS is mediocre, it’s much better to have a paladin.

I played the entire last season as a warrior, and especially during weeks that required a dispel or CC, nobody wanted me in their group, which forced me to create my own keys to play, and I feel like if other players could, they would remove me from them

*My perspective is more about DPS than tank.

We have an aoe stun, a single target stun, and an aoe fear.

We being rally and battleshout.

Great mobility, serviceable damage, and some of the best self healing/mitigation. Spell reflect and victory rush are great tools.

Fury is in the dumps, but prot is a fine tank and arms is decent dps.

I’m not thrilled about anything but a VDH tank and a team of leggo ret plds either, but we’re not that bad off the rest of the normal contenders.

Funnily enough every single spec in the game has access to a combat res through the Engineer’s crafted bracers which do not take an embellishment slot. Which you’d then pickup a second M+ crafted piece in either the Cape/Boots slot with Blue Silken Lining if Arms.

The issue with this lies in how many sparks you’d need in order to accommodate for the gearset switching between raiding and M+ so this isn’t entirely available to utilise until your 3rd craft if you have a dungeon only focus and haven’t crafted allied bracers as one of you set or 4th spark if you’ve already crafted the allied bracers.

It’s a slight dps loss for utility gain for a few weeks if you want the rez tinker, which is fine if you’re not pushing progression keys/raids. I think it’s a fair trade off personally.

Area CC becomes less relevant as you progress through high keys, it’s very good to have it, it’s true, but in a well-coordinated group, everything that needs to be interrupted will be, besides, almost every class has some area CC, Paladin even has the blind.

Warrior shouts, as I mentioned, will be extremely nerfed, even the HP buff nowadays gives the same HP as a priest’s buff for a limited time.

Damage, to me, is indifferent to this discussion because it will vary according to the patch.

We don’t have a hard mez tho, intimidating shout is weak af for incorporeal and of course can’t do anything against afflicted…I just lose out on the already weak dps if I have to get a destabilize, need to pummel or stormbolt.

What key level are we talking about because aoe CC is required to push beyond a certain threshold, and I’d argue that’s it’s equally important when the season is new and you’re gearing and climbing.

Not having an aoe stun on my BDK is a huge bummer honestly, the blind isn’t nearly as good because I can’t build resources during the CC before all the auto attacks resync.
