Issue with lag spikes and DCs in solo shuffles

it is becoming a burden, I am constantly in no show debuff and I join, get roughly a giant 1500 home or world lag spike, then DC. Nothing else on my computer is slowed down and this is a VERY recent issue (last couple days) I have reset my router and modem. (Google Fiber), I am also on a ethernet connection.

This MTR includes a lag spike of over 1500ms, but no DC. I have not been able to get a DC yet with MTR running.

Hey there,

Thanks so much for taking the time to report this with the WinMTR data. The test does not show latency at the level you saw in-game (~1500ms) at any point while the test was running, and this typically indicates that the issue is isolated to your local game files. Try resetting your User Interface, and then test whether you continue to have these issues.

Note: This process will return your game client to the default interface in order to rebuild core game files. If you wish to keep any addons you play with, I recommend moving the ‘Interface’ folder to your desktop temporarily (the Interface folder from Step 6). Once you have completed the UI reset, you can then go in and move your addons over to the new ‘Interface’ folder one at a time to see if it was causing the issue.

If the latency and disconnects continue, can you temporarily test an alternate network such as a mobile hotspot or VPN? This will help us quickly determine whether the issues are network-related.

If the issue is resolved when using an alternate network, at that point we can be sure that the issue is isolated to the primary network. Since it isn’t something that’s showing up in the WinMTR, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for further assistance troubleshooting this. They might need to adjust network-level security/firewall settings or temporarily replace the network devices in your home to isolate it. Note that you can request to be forwarded to a “level 2 or level 3 technician” when contacting the ISP, as the front-line representatives typically only have access to basic diagnostics and troubleshooting tools.

Hopefully, this info helps get you back to enjoying the game. Let us know if you have any questions going forward. Cheers!
