I have reported a bug in game and raised a ticket in game but nothing has happened, I will bring the issue here in hopes that there can be progress/resolve.
Those of you who are not aware, the .5 quest chain is time consuming and expensive, I spent over 700g on items required to complete the chain, I also spent the better part of my gaming week probably 20 hours on this quest. The very last quest that requires action/fighting right new the end is called " Mea Culpa, Lord Valthalak" where you kill the .5 summon boss in ubrs.
This is not an easy boss, I was able to organize a group and kill the boss, also there was someone with the same quest in the instance. After you kill Valthalak you summon his spirit with an amulet that you created in the last 15 hours of running quest and spending 700+ gold, it consumes the amulet when you summon his spirit. The quest became complete, but the guy in my group with the same quest accepted the quest from the spirit before I did and the spirit desummoned.
I cannot progress in the quest line, I cannot get a new amulet to summon the spirit for the next quest giver.
This is ridiculous, I cannot get any support from source available in game. I have also got my guild together to kill the boss again in the hopes that his spirit would somehow be there - it was not.
It has now been two days without any contact from blizzard, this was my priority to be done with this patch release as I want to raid with the set, I dont mind killing the summon boss again I have already done it and my guild will help. I just need a way that I can progress this quest line without completely hosing a person over by joining their quest run and stealing the spirit from them.
How is this even possible that there can be a dead end in a quest line that consumes so many hours and so much gold in mats that at the very end one person could grief you so intensely? (not saying the guy who did it to me was doing so intentional) This is a situation that needs to be fixed.
