The leap itself is useful but its often used as much to escape as to go in, it should probably have some effect that incentives the warrior’s ‘go go go’ playstyle.
Making it actually do some decent damage would be a good start. And if there’s a worry about warriors adding min-range heroic leaps into their damage rotation make it range based. Like the damage scales with how far you actually jumped.
Then when you land from max range heroic leaps the ground could erupt into Warbreaker’s spikes animation or some kind of Dragon Roar type thing. That would be cool.
Nah, it’s great, especially with the bounding sprint.

There were other plans for Heroic Leap. In fact we had to wait a full expansion later to get it in the first place. There was a concept that Heroic Leap would stun those who were in the impact spot. That version of Heroic Leap was removed. Then Heroic leap was over nerfed in it’s mobility with a lot of no path issues since people were using it to get into places they shouldn’t.
Heroic Leap is fine now, if they add the anima powers attached to it that you will see in Torghast as options in the new talent tree, you would see Heroic Leap even stronger.

Maybe tucked away in the talent tree somewhere. I don’t really like it when utility abilities end up in the damage rotation, as it tends to promote degenerate gameplay.

They should make bounding stride baseline for Leap. Other than that, it’s fine.

In my experience, it does what it’s supposed to do . . . .
get me from point A to point B very quickly.

Tell me what is boring dismounting from 10000 feet in the air crashing down and leaping at the last second…it’s like jumping from skyhold

Heroic leap is fine but the barbarian honor talent should be +2000% damage instead of 200% so I can heroic leap stomp on people
Yeah, that’d be cool. Warbringer is like +1300% to charge.
