…but at BlizzCon they announced that Dottie would be the Make-A-Wish pet and be released in December.
Yet, they only added Dottie to the PTR and not live.
Did Blizzard change their mind and are going to release 8.3 in December, and just hold the raids off until the New Year like previous Holiday-Time patches?
EDIT: If anything, it seems likely they might release the patch in December, but withhold the raid, N’zoth Invasions, etc. Anything with character progression, until 2020. But open up the new Allied Races and Allied Race/Pandaren DKs (for Pre-Purchases).
It never actually says the PATCH is in 2020. It just says the new raiding/content tier. I think MMO-Champion and Wowhead may have misunderstood the post. Ahead of the Curve doesn’t go away until the new raid releases.
The fact the post ends saying they’ll have more information on the new content patch in the coming weeks adds further credence the patch may actually be in December as well.
EDIT2: The fact Dottie is confirmed as being in December, but was added to the PTR and not live further leads credence to 8.3 being in December.
