So I recently just completed the Isles Ace and Emerald Ace achievements (doing all challenge golds and reverse challenge golds).
These dragon riding races were fun to do but I think that since dragon riding will continue evolving as the expansions go on - meaning we will get more talent points - making dragon riding easier and faster.
This will have the effect of trivializing the current dragon racing challenge achievements, so i believe that these achievements and titles should be removed with the end of DragonFlight so that these titles retain their current level of integrity.

They are already easier to get than before ED patch because that enabled ground skimming+thrill of the skies which afaik works in dragon riding races. While the much more obviously powerful vigor regen thing is not allowed.

this does work in the current races but there are very few races that actually have a course so close to the ground as to allow that method of vigor regeneration.
So many achievements are trivialized by becoming old content. No, we donāt need to have them be for this expac only. I already have them, and already have the Taivan mount (Blizz make him big again!) and I donāt want them to remove the titles and achieves.
We also know that dynamic flying is going to be different in TWW and going on, so thereās a chance that we only have the current DF talents and speed in the Dragon Isles so people donāt have the extra stuff from TWW.
During Blizzcon they said they hadnāt figured it out yet but that they expect dynamic flying to be different for TWW since as it currently works, you need to fly around the Dragon Isles collecting the glyphs to be able to get the different talents. They donāt want to hinder people who didnāt play during DF by having to have them go back to all the 7 zones in Dragon Isles to collect the glyphs so dragon riding might just be in DF and dynamic flying would be everywhere else. Weāll find out more Iām sure when alpha and most likely beta comes out. If I get bored I can try and find the clip talking about it.

Maybe but they also talked about reworking the talents so I could see them just leaving the current talents alone to stay in DF content and having a new set for TWW and the rest of the World Soul Saga.
that would be really weird and awkward.
currently our dragon riding mounts function the same everywhere - minus 15% speed outside of dragon isles- i doubt they would make the dragon riding mounts change drastically for war within content and leave it the same everywhere else.

I mean theyāve left things in expac zones before. And currently, like you said, there is the 15% speed decrease in non DF zones. Iām sure it wonāt be that slow in TWW zones.
but they have never said something is evergreen and then completely changed it for the next expansion, though.
I suppose weāll see what they do. But my main point still stands, they shouldnāt get rid of that achieve when TWW comes out. Itās not hard to do anyway right now just time-consuming.

Exactly. Time consuming and something Iāll take no part in nailing down every single dragon isles race AGAIN in challenge mode x2ā¦ hellllllllll nooooo! Itās another title, and idc ! lol ā¦ but seriously Grats to those that earned it. Maybe in a few years Iāll be in the mood again.
Iāve got a better idea, anyone who completes these achievements before TWW gets an āattaboyā buff that only they can see. That way you can feel super special about yourself while leaving the rest of us alone

Why do we always go these drastic conclusions?
Just limit talents for past expansions races. Done, fixed. The race is already there. Literally donāt change anything and itāll be fine.
