I got a bat mount thingy from those island…as to how I got it? I have no idea. I wasn’t even farming for the mount, I was just grinding the necklace. But when I DO farm the broken highland mustang do I get it? Of course not.

I’m in the “over 1000 runs, no mounts” club. It makes me miss farming the paragon mounts.

I don’t intend to spend the whole expansion running islands - I’m currently on an upswing to gather data about how feasible different collecting goals are but I expect that at some point I’ll burn out and quit running them cold turkey.

I feel this way as well. Back when they buffed the drop rates (before nerfing them) I managed to score 3 mounts in 1,500 runs or so.

With the way things are now I just feel like it will be better to wait until I can solo farm mythic IEs before I attempt to get another mount.

On an unrelated note, my guild is now recruiting gnomes. For reasons.

They didn’t go back and change legion invasions to only need 1 player(120), you still need 2 others so it won’t change.

I just did 9 straight island expeditions and Jorundall didn’t even spawn until the 9th… 8 straight without.

Then I get yet another one of those stupid thunderscale pets. Screw this game seriously. Can’t even believe I still play it.

I didn’t even know there was a bat mount and have done at least 300. I got the squid and parrot in under 200 runs and only wanted the parrot.

I just don’t really farm mounts anymore. I did that so much in the past its just not worth the time now (for me anyway). I just have the “if it drops it drops. if not oh well” mindset.

I farmed for about 4 hours this afternoon, got 4 jorundall runs all on heroic and got 3 pets but no mount yet :frowning: hoping it drops sometime soon, let the grind continue…

I only have the Risen Mare, its ugly as sin to boot but its the rarest island mount from what I have seen and heard. (Plus Worldofwargraphs). Im closing in on buying the Gull mount though from the vendor.

Edit: I want everyone to understand I have run over 350 heroic islands on my rogue. So enjoy that grind

I’m not sure how many it takes, but I have ran about a dozen or so Heroic IE’s with nothing dropping… no mounts or pets. All I want are pets… :smiley:

i got the jellyfish on my lowbie mage i was leveling. They are out there… but going just for them isn’t going to be fun for you.

Another 6 straight with no Jorundall this morning. GD this game design is ****. Slot machine bs with no bad luck protection.

The Mop scenerios can be done solo and those are just about the closest to this content.

I’ve found there really is no point trying to farm them for a particular thing.

As you’ve seen by now to get the Stormdrake - you’ve got to queue up and hope you get Jorundall. Then you’ve got to hope the stormdrakes have actually spawned for that particular run since not all runs of Jorundall have them. And then if they even have spawned you’ve still got the very low % of actually getting the mount as a reward.

I’d say just run islands casually, you’ll get burnt out and frustrated very fast unless you’re super lucky.

First time I ran mythic islands with a guildie, I got the undead horse. My guildmate was so pissed.
